I bought my first set about a week ago after reading many reviews on this kind of case from all the other ones online on amazon and I decided to go take the chance with this one. It arrived quickly and it was actually wrapped pretty well and more so than I thought it would be. I thought I had read a review about a little piece of plastic that sticks out on these from another seller that sells these same kind and so I looked on these when they arrived and there is one on the inside top and inside bottom but I put my DVD in it and took it out and in several times and there was no scratch to my disk, so it isn't a problem [for me at least]. The lock is pretty good and if a person treats them well and opens them carefully, I am confident that they will be just fine. I ordered 3 packs and none of mine were busted and all were fine. I just today went back to order 8 more ....I have lots of DVD's.....LOL, and after my first 3 sets I feel like ordering the others will be okay. I will keep ordering this set as I need them.I feel like this product met my needs and will get the job done. So far I recommend this based on it being a good latch, sturdy and it does fit a regular size DVD and it arrived well packaged and on time.

The ones I've had before just clicked shut in the middle, where the CD hole is. They were easy to open. These take a lot more fiddling with to get them open. Still, they work and don't take up much room. They are flexible enough that they don't crack like jewel cases do.

These are great cases. Very thin very compact. Easy to carry in my purse when I take them to work with a movie in them

I needed thin cases that I could put my CDs and DVDs in. The hard plastic cases CDs come in break easily and DVD cases are too large. I don't want to devote a lot of space to storing these items.Initially these clamshell cases are hard to open, so I open and close them 5 or 6 times before I put anything inside. Problem solved.

I bought two 50-packs for a high school reunion memories project and sent out 70 DVD's in these, slipped inside a 6" x 6" paperboard mailer. Postage throughout the USA was $0.92 each. Postage up to two ounces: 50c first ounce, 21c next ounce, and 21c for "non-machine-mailable." Use red-ink stamp the PO has with those words or "hand stamp only," stamp on the front addressed side. Weight included up to three stamps, and a 4" x 4" release notes paper inside each pack. Every AcePlus Clamshell worked correctly opening, closing and snapping onto the DVD's and no recipients complained of any kind of damage. Highly recommend this economical way to pack and ship disks.

I really wanted to get the perfect case for my CD project and decided on this one. It's round and modern and I liked that it's soft. I was disappointed to find the closure isn't sturdy. Some of them clicked closed like I would expect. However, a majority of the fasteners barely held together.
