Really happy with this, and makes me smile every time I use it. I knocked off a star because if you have very fine tea leaves they will seep through the holes. I only run into that problem occasionally depending on the tea blend, but sometimes there is loose sediment.

A lot of people complained that it doesn't make a good cup of tea, but it really can. The cup I use is a bit too tall for more than the tail to reach the water, so I drop it straight into the water and the nose floats above the surface, so it's easy to pull it back out or stir it around. Once the tea is finished steeping, I hang the manatea on the edge of the cup and it holds itself out of the water and is out of the way enough to drink with it hanging there, so no mess either.Overfilling it or using too much water for the amount of tea won't work nearly as well...there should be enough space left in it so the tea can move around, and about a cup of water per teaspoon of tea. This infuser really isn't made for making more than one or two cups at a time (maybe slightly less than two). I noticed the tea gets weaker if any part of the bottom half is held out of the water the entire time, too.My only complaint is that it likes to hold the scent and flavor of the last tea used. It can be rinsed out very easily, but then the next cup of tea will taste like the first kind. Soaking it in vinegar and water seems to kind of solve this problem, but the smell of one tea is still there.

Using red colored tea is a bit disturbing though!

Got this for a White Elephant party back in December; wasn't show how well it'd go over since everyone else brought gifts that seemed pretty fancy, but nearly half the party was gunning for this until it ran out of trades! From what I've heard it's held up well over the past few months (be sure to hand-wash it, though).

This cheery chappy is easy to fill with tea and then sits easily on your cup or mug to give you a lovely cup of tea. Many comments on how cute 'he' is and so easy both to fill and empty. Easily cleaned too. Well worth a buy!
