Yes you can. The only thing is ps2 has to be modded and you must habe magic swap. Othewise ps2 will not play burnt game.

Hey is this swap magic 3.8? Because whenever i click onto its picture page it shows a picture of the 3.6 version.

The version I got after buying is 3.8. Dunno why the picture is different. Maybe the seller ran out of 3.8 cause I believe I got one of the last ones.

Will the CD version work on the PS1?

Hello Andrew, I can only say that tried it with Japanese PS1 only, and it did not work. I did however get it to work using a Action Reply that is designed to work with PS1 games on my slim PS2. You can check on here for details as I just answered a similar question with another person. I hope it works out for you.

It works for slim NTSC ps2 SPCH-70000. However I am not sure about 90000.
