Poulan Pro PR500Y22, 22 in. 140cc 500 E Series Briggs & Stratton 3-in-1 Walk Behind Push Mower

The mower cuts good and is easy to maneuver. So far I like it. I did have to overcome some difficulties. The assembly instructions related mainly to another model including the location of the oil filler. In the instructions it is easily seen on the top of the engine. In reality it is hidden lower on the side. I had to tip the mower on it's side and use a funnel to fill the oil reservoir. I did get that done and after filling the gas tank started the engine. I could see right away that I needed to lower the wheels. This was a problem as the levers on one side were bent and one was twisted. With a friend's help it is now useable. I like the mower but the instructions could have been much better, the oil filler placement is the pits and more care needs to be taken in manufacturing to insure buyer doesn't have to fix before use.

Looks like a reliable piece of hardware, i havent started it yet, but right off of the bat i noticed i am missing 2 bolts where the arm meets the body (marked in picture) and no manual came with it. Will leave another review in the near future.(Update)After buying a couple bolts and lock nuts i used the lawnmower all summer without using the choke at all. The machine started after an average of 3 pulls on 89 octane gas. Only had to add oil once. Hope this helps

Does a pretty good job mowing my lawn, except for areas where the grass is thick...then it stalls. Pretty easy pull start but is still an inconvenience. I do enjoy the self-propelled feature. Sometimes there’s a grinding noise when I’m using it. Not sure what that is about. I needed a mower and the price of this was right.

Short assembly time, but was missing two bolts to hold the handle, which I scavenged from an old mower to no detriment to this one.Started on first pull.Runs well, and power-assisted front-wheel drive is a bonus in my advanced years.Good value for the money.

Got the mower today was missing two bolts for the handles one of the adjuster's was bent but I straightened lt altogether mower started on the first pull and it cuts good very good mower for the money...

Ok so far not a bad lawman more but mine came in with the front wheel locks bent and they wouldn't lock in place had to take the wheels off to bend it back in place ..

item arrived with terrible packaging, a rusty blade, damaged front adjustment levers, and the wrong instruction manual (which belonged to a different unit.) No information whether to leave the crooked black plastic round cushionings on or to remove them. (the ones between front wheels and the raising adjustment levers, which are damaged and not straight). i have owned an older model - same brand - and it lasted me for 5 years with little annual TLC.. Old model still runs great, but too bad the push handles now reach the ground, hurt your back when you mow, and they don't stay elevated as they should. I've shelled money yearly on adjusting them, adding new holes to the body, adding scews, but now it's beyond repair. Motor runs great though. i was hoping I'd keep this one, but it seems my luck delivered me a lemon this time.

This is a good, solid little mower! Doing a soccer field with it would take nearly the whole morning, but it's perfect for my yard!
