I purchased this drive as a exact replacement for the OEM drive in a Dell Inspiron laptop so that I could clone the laptop drive on a weekly basis for disaster recovery purposes. The drive arrived in new condition, was exactly as advertised. Cloning and a test swap of the cloned drive worked perfectly. This drive is described as an entry-level drive, so there are lots of faster drives available, but it was exactly what I needed for my purposes.
