FUSION 1911 Colt Mil Spec Blade Style 70 Series White Dot Set

I purchased these sights for my Rock Island Armory/Armscor 1911 compact 3.5, it is an amazing upgrade to the GI sights, the rear sight went on with out issue. The front sight is a tenon style and must be staked which I did with a vice, padded jaw protectors and a Brownell's 1911 front sight staking tool. I chose to file down the curve of the front part of my slide and then on the inside I used a dremel tool to smooth out the staked tenon to prevent issues with the barrel fit and to avoid clearance issues. I recommend these sights to anyone with a milspec GI 1911.

The front sight not as pictured. Has flat base around it. Had them installed by gunsmith. Better than original Rock Island GI standard sights.

Luv these sights! Much more visible than the standard GI sights,

They look great in the package, but the rear sight slides strait through with no resistance. There is so much room between the rear sight and slide that there is nothing you can do to make it fit. Front sight needed some work before it would fit as well. White paint all over both sights. This is why I need to stop buying cheap things.

Sights are ok other than white dots on rear sight are not evenly spaced apart. Right side it farther away from the center of sight than left side. Front sight white dot fell out after the first shot. I just drilled it out and notched a half circle on the top and put a fiber optic rod in.
