Motorcraft RT1167 190F and 88C Thermostat

The usual Motorcraft quality, as far as I can tell so far.. Let's see if it'll last 208,000 miles like the original did. (fyi: the oem unit never failed, but the plastic thermostat housing warped requiring replacement of all parts in the offending area) I used the aluminum thermostat housing from SimmonsAutosportz. Superb quality on that part..

Quality construction and perfect size as it should be since it is made by the manufacturer. You can't go wrong. However, the new thermostat housing included a thermostat so this one was returned.

My 09 ranger 4.0L came with a 190F thermostat, the one amazon sent and it says right on it 92-106C which is 198F to 223F, this is the operating temperature. This is what ford is selling now and all I could get so I cross referenced and found a German replacement that works just fine at 188F which is what I wanted and it's not made in China. A German thermostat for an engine made in Germany. I like it.

Tengo un ford explorer 2006 y use termostatos de varias marcas y probe la marca Dorman que decia que funcioba bien pero me duro apenas 2 años, hay una gran diferencia al momento que instale el termostato motorcraft definitivamente vale la pena no pierdas el tiempo cambiando el termostato cada dos años o menos usa una pieza original y olvidate del problema. Te lo recomiendo

Temp is good. The year old stant was supposed to be 190 degrees F, but was mismarked and only gave 176 degrees F. This Motorcraft thermostat is exactly correct.
