FRYE Cara Hobo Leather Handbag

I was waiting and waiting for a review on this bag before I purchased it. I will be that review. ;)The bag is very stylish. I accidentally received two...they were not equal. One was as pictured with the leather grain clearly visible; it looked like a cowhide. It felt like a soft, oiled leather. The other was a smooth, more rigid leather. While the latter had a more polished look, I suppose, it wasn't representative of the product photo and the look/feel that I was expecting. So, I kept the first one. It is a fairly large bag... similar to the Melissa Hobo (which I love!!). Since I purchased it for Xmas (early, as it went on sale), I have yet to use it. I expect it to be a lifetime bag - high quality!

Great quality and product. The design of the opening is different, but that makes it cute. It has a magnetic closure and stays closed most of the time. That's why I gave it 4 stars. Still like it a lot. Received w/In 2 days.

I like the look of this bag, however, I am not happy with it. I bought it as a birthday gift for my wife, and she is disappointed, as well. The leather is very stiff, and the magnet is not strong enough to hold the flap closed. In addition, there are scratches all over the back of the bag.I have purchased a few Frye bags for my wife, in the past, and I was very happy with them. My wife was very happy, as well. The quality of this bag was a disappointment. I will be returning it for a refund.

Leather very dry and still on arrival, but as i use it is breaking in and I am liking it more and more

very pretty-top didn't close right, the design of the course isn't right-leather was gorgeous-returned-can't spend 400.00 on a purse and it not be right

So disappointed when this arrived. The leather felt like a faux leather purse you'd get at Target (no offense, Target!). Sent it back immediately. I was worried the top flap would be awkward. In theory, if it was soft leather, it would be fine. But because the leather was so hard it made for a weird fold over. I'm curious if it was a fake. Because I felt another Frye bag the other day in a store and it was nothing like the one sent to me.

This bag is AWESOME!! The quality is amazing!! It fits perfectly everything I need for work. It’s a keeper!!

Love the color. This is a well made purse. Great for daily use. Very sturdy and nice leather.
