I admit I'm 64 yrs old (but in pretty good shape). You definitely don't want to use either of these in a space larger than maybe 3x 3 - unless you count it as part of your cardio workout. Be careful with the smaller one that is used on furniture. You need to be very gentle so you don't snag the fabric. I have 2 cats and these are excellent for cat hair. I never realized how much my vacuum doesn't pick up. If you're going to use the larger one I recommend small spaces that your vacuum cant reach, or else prepare yourself for a workout.UPDATE: Sometimes even when I gently used the smaller one on fabric it would still snag. So I discovered that instead of dragging it backwards, like you normally would, push it in a forward motion. It doesn't snag and still removes hair just as well.

This removed pet hair from animals we don't even own! We rent, we do have 2 cats, but this thing was pulling dog hair out from the carpet on the stairs. My OCD self went ahead and used this on the hallway and 2 bedrooms that are carpeted as well. So much dog hair and I obsessively vacuum so it was quite a shock to see how much pet hair stays behind. This thing is a life change!

Your expensive vacuum attachments cannot do what this does. Amazing.

Some of my friends have this tool and suggested I try it it works wonders on everything the carpet the couch the rugs, the car. Glad i tried it, vacuums do not get all the hair, but this was impressive
