Magpul Industries iPhone 5/5s Bump Case

Ok, so I am a bit picky when it comes to cases. In fact, of the 20+ cases I've owned for various smart phones, I've never had one I'd say was perfect. That us, until now. This is the perfect case. Now, it is NOT the most protective case out there. It's not supposed to be. If that's what you're looking for, you will be disappointed. Here's where it excels though: button feel (feels as close to the 'naked' button feel as any case I've used), grippy (but not too grippy, the texturing is perfect without being sticky like a silicone case), just the right thinness, great fit (tight around the corner).Others I've owned: Speck Pixelskin HD for iPhone 4s (nearly perfect). Speck Pixelskin HD for iPhone 5 (terrible fit in comparison, and much smoother material - bad). Incipio DualPro. Incipio NGP (poor fit and button feel). Apple Silicone case (quite good, but not full coverage, and a little too sticky). Otterbox Prefix - too slick. Apple iPhone Leather Case - too fragile, button feel is crappy. Otterbox Commuter (too slick, two piece design eventually breaks down). Otterbox Defender (two piece design eventually breaks down, too thick, screen protector really detracts from the touch screen). Urban Armor Gear (quite good, especially button feel, but the back is a bit more slick than I'd prefer, and the cutouts in the back of the new ones is odd). Lifeproof (if you need waterproof, you need waterproof, but the screen protector is all bubbly, and charging with it is a nightmare)

I purchased this for my iPhone 5 and the fit could not be better.To start, I have owned and used several of the other Magpul iPhone 4 and 5 Field cases and they tend to wear out after about a year of daily pocket use. By 'wear out,' I mean that the cases cease to fit to the phone snugly leading to the phone wanting to pop up of the case somewhat. It makes the phone feel cheap and gross and is pretty annoying. I have already emailed Magpul regarding this directly and they have obliged me with a free case with free shipping on once occasion. The problem is that it wore out like the rest of them. (I think a little heat and some rubber bands would mold them back tight, so I've held onto them)I wanted to give this case a try and so far its great. The outside is a harder plastic than the field cases, and the inside is a rubber softer than the field cases. Like with the field cases, the fitment out of box is excellent, but I think the harder outside plastic will be less susceptible to permanent deformation, long-term. The inner softer rubber will probably be a little more impact absorbent, but we'll see.I have replaced the screen on my iPhone 5, three separate times, all while the phone was wearing Magpul Field cases in various colors. I dropped the phone waaaaaaaaaaay more times than that on concrete. So even the basic ones offer decent proctection.Only time will tell. I did own an OtterBox case for my Samsung phone and overall it did protect it when I dropped the phone. However the plastic/protective material was very slippery and caused issues when handling the phone even when my hands were dry. Also, the OtterBox had a soft rubber cover that you placed on your phone before putting it into the plastic cover which stretched out over time and did not work well. I have purchased other Magpul products and the quality/material is excellent, so I decided to buy the case for my new iPhone 5s. The case has a very hard durable plastic casing with a semi-soft flexible rubber lining that is attached to the inside of the case. The case is hard but flexible enough so you can snap your phone into it easily and remove it if needed without much trouble. All the ports and buttons on the phone fit perfectly so you can utilize them without any issues. The best feature for me is the texture which is similar to the PMAGs they make. The Magpul case texture and material gives your hand the ability to grip the phone securely even if your hand is wet (I tested it). The very top ridge of the case by your screen is softer than the backside of the case which is also nice when handling. Last, the ridge of the case by your screen does give you room so when you place your case face down your screen sits slightly above the surface so it's not resting on it. This case compared to the OtterBox not only functions better it costs less than what you will pay in most stores or online for an OtterBox (I have seen some pretty cheap OtterBox ones but I questions if they are Chinese knockoffs). Buy this for your iPhone 5s and you will not be Disappointed at all...Excellent Case!!!!

Got this for an iPhone 5S, to change the color from my older Magpul Field Case. The old one was black and I kept misplacing my phone. So I upgraded to this Bump case in orange. The Bump Case is an improved design over the field case (which I had used on my phone for two years and still looked like new - I gave it to a neighbor), with improved internal padding and a stiffer case shell. As far as I can tell, it fits the phone as well as the field case (i.e, perfectly).The orange color is not an emergency rescue orange color, it's more muted. Sort of a brick orange, looks nice and not too bright. With these bump cases you don't see any of the shell color when you are using the phone (a plus, who wants a big orange stripe around your phone), as the insert and front part of the case are black regardless of the shell color. Very nice design and I highly recommend it.Reliable, rugged, fits the phone perfectly, good grip, not too bulky, made in the USA.

Crappy poor made case made in china and then poorly printed with a magpul logo! Not close to the real case and not worth to go to the post office for! Right side in picture is the real magpul case that is 2 years old.

今回はオレンジを購入しました。色合いは、PC画面で見ていたよりはだいぶ落ち着いた感じで、届くまでは「ちょっと派手かな？」と思っていたけど自分好みで一安心。背面がオレンジ色の硬質素材、画面側(内側)がブラックのやわらか素材の2層構造になっています。装着にはちょっとコツがいりますが、左上の角から入れていくと比較的楽に入りました。ボタン部は固めで押すときにちょっと力が要ります(特に電源ボタン)。逆に言えばポケットに入れていても誤作動を抑えることができます(実際に使ってみても誤作動は今のところゼロです)。背面の質感はマットでサラサラした触り心地。格子状の出っ張りがホールド性を高めていますがじゃまになるほどの出っ張りではありません。ミリタリーグッズが好きな方はもちろん、日常の衝撃に備えたい方にもオススメします。
