Prevue Pet Products Wrought Iron Bird Flight Cage w/Wheels- L, Chalk White

I got this cage in the extra large size and I am super pleased with it! It is perfect for my two cockatiels, and definitely has room for a few more. The boys have lots of room to flap and climb and plenty of room for lots of perches and toys. The cage is very sturdy and the measurements are true to the description. My cage came in undamaged, however, it was missing all of the screws, tools, and wheels, so I was unable to build it when it came in. I called Prevue customer service and they were very helpful and they sent me everything I needed about a week later at no cost to me. I suppose I could have taken a star off for that, but to be honest this cage is perfect and they fixed the issue, so I chose to give it the full rating. I personally decided to zip-tied the side cage doors shut, they are spring-based and I didn't want the birds messing with them and I wasn't going to use them, so I shut them. The main 2 doors have a sorta weird closing mechanism (a sliding bar) but its grown on me and seems pretty safe. If you have a troublesome clever bird, perhaps add another clip to the doors to keep them shut. The cage came with 3 perches and 4 bowls. The perches are very nice , the bowls are okay too but I didn't end up using all of them. The cage bottom has a grill but I chose not to put it in because my birds prefer being able to touch a bottom with bedding instead of bars. There are 2 sliding areas to put the grill and the tray, the top is supposed to be for the grill and the bottom for the tray. What I did was I removed the grill completely and slid the tray in the top slot. There is no gap large enough for them to get out with this method. Putting the cage together is very simple, but it can be helpful to have a helper to help hold things in place. Overall, really pleased! I recommend this cage to anyone who has asked me on my bird instagram account (bink.screech). It is very roomy and functional and beautiful, I am incredibly pleased with this purchase! (for size reference, I am 5'8'' and this is the extra large cage) edit: I bought this in 2018 and it is now 2021! My birds still love this huge cage! I would recommend, however, adding an extra clip to the doors of the cage to keep them shut. One of my birds is playing with the mechanism and I'm afraid he is learning how to open it, so to keep him safe I added an extra clip to the doors (just something that helps stop the mechanism from sliding unless I take it off). Besides that, no complaints! The cage is still gorgeous and all the parts held up well. No rusting at all! They did chew through one of the perches that came with the cage, but thats no surprise to any bird owner haha.

I bought the X-Large cage earlier this year in March and ever since has held up very nicely! And the girls love it. I would say assembly requires two people to hold some of the pieces steady while the other person screws in the bolts, but other wise the process was smooth! CONS: - Size of the door opening. For the door, it's no problem for the birds, just an inconvenience for me when I want to place in new toys or grab out their food/water bowls to clean each morning. But that task became easier when I placed them closer to the door. - Flimsy-ness of the bars. Careful when hanging bulky/heavy toys. I've noticed the bars start to cave-in especially from the ceiling of the cage so I use the bigger toys for outside play instead. PROS: - Ability to remove grate flooring. I like to encourage my birds to forage on the floor or the bottom half of the cage. This was made much easier when I found out that I could remove the grate panel and move the bottom pan in its place. So when they go down to the floor of the cage, they are essentially walking on the pan where I place the paper. There are NO gap spacing for escapes or injuries! - There is plenty of space for my two tiels to not only play, but have their own space when they need it. - The doors on the side of the cage are spring loaded. Even though it doesn't lock, it requires more force than a cockatiel or any other small bird could exhibit to open up! (but of course, zip-ties could be used to seal it for peace of mind) It was also the perfect size to place their favorite plexiglass box for no-mess feeding! All around really great cage, and heavily recommend! I'm hoping the seller can make more so I could purchase another for a third cockatiel!

This is the biggest cage I could find with appropriate bar spacing for my budgies that are too afraid to come out of their cage. It's perfect because they can fly around inside and still get exercise. Easy to assemble, I like the storage space under the cage, the wheels are nice and smooth. Good quality for the price imo.

Great cage, worth every dollar!! I put it together myself. The directions were simple and clear. The assembly was easy and everything fit together as intended. The hex bolts were all true and hold well. The casters are heavy duty and they roll smoothly. I love all the doors and the latches are good quality. There are no sharp edges or surfaces. I couldn't be happier with this cage and my 4 budgies agree.

Only time and wear will tell if this product can last but so far, the size and ease in assembly is very good. The method of assembly is quite intuitive. I do have complaint about the packaging/box was damaged during shipment. I have read other purchasers revel the same issue. Only problem really after unpacking, was a rod that slide into sleeve was bent and wouldn't fit. I used pliers and screwdriver to force it back so the rod would fit. The plastic bowls were all intact. All loose pieces were smartly packaged in plastic bags and easy to find. The wheels were surprisingly better then expected, they are round, ball bearing wheels. I do suggest the vendor label the pieces with part number related to the instructions. Had difficulty in identifying some of the parts visually when comparing to drawing in instructions. I also suggest the vendor frame the box on the inside with something rigid like plastic or wood to protect it when its mishandled/dropped during shipment. I would recommend this bird cage to anyone and for the price, is well worth the interruptions in unpacking and assembly. Fast Forward to 10-2014: The birdcage is still being used, nothing has really broken or gone wrong with the cage and accessories. Seven cockatiels are currently living in this cage. They have chewed up a lot of the wooden dowel perches but that cannot be prevented. At the time of purchase, I paid $179.50 I would still recommend this cage for the price, it's size, and sturdiness. I would purchase another if needed in the future. Fast Forward #2 - 06-19-2016 Cage is holding up very well. Still seven (7) cockatiels living in side. We can scoot the cage out of doors and hose it off with the birds inside. The cage is not heavy, built steel so go slow when moving it around. My review rating still stands and I would recommend this cage to anyone even a small bird since it is technically a flight cage and the birds have room to fly across. If your box is damaged, you might think about making them send a new one because that was the only big fault I found was their packaging. Con #2 was that the instructions were far too basic. I would purchase again. Fast Forward #3 - 11-11-2025 Guess what? Still using this cage and we have five (5) cockatiels still alive and utilizing this cage as their home. I am considering finding an even larger cage, would like it to span the length of the room would be very cool. I haven't shopped around yes, maybe this brand, getting another cage and putting them side by side to expand the birds' territory. We might renew this cage as well it has gotten a little beat up by age and debris.

This is the best cage ever I have 8 parakeets They fit nicely and have plenty of room The feeder cups are wonderful Easy to place anywhere Big enough to hold plenty of food and water for all my birds Easy easy to clean The bottom tray pulls out easy and cleans easily The grating in the bottom also pulls out and cleans up well. I was surprised it pulled out My nephew who is a senior citizen himself put it together in less than an hour all by himself with no help and just by common sense instead of the instructions The storage area at the bottom isn’t very high but I bought low canisters to fit and there is room on the shelf for lots of food and supplies. I even roll the bird cage cover up and store it there It only came with 3 perches but it does ent need more than that so they are very adequate This cage is not top of the line nor is it at the bottom but the quality is very good It rolls around easily to anywhere and for vacuuming under and around it I’ve bought 3 other cages spent a lot of money and was unhappy with every one of them This one is perfect for me I will say that when I ordered it it was full price and within 24-48 hours the price dropped drastically This I wasn’t happy about! I do recommend this cage highly!

I bought this extra large cage for my two cockatiels so they could have some more space to play while I am working. It is now their full time cage because we love it so much! What they like: - The cage is spacious enough for more toys and they can really spread their wings. - They can be together and still have plenty of personal space. - The bar spacing is perfect so they can climb inside and out without any trouble. - The dishes. Honestly, I have no idea why they love them. But they were all intact when I received them. What I like: - Most importantly, it makes them happy. - Bedtime used to be a hassle trying to get them into their medium size cages. They go into this cage without any arguments making bedtime so much less stressful for all of us. - It is quite sturdy for birds of their size. As others have already mentioned, this is a flight cage intended for smaller birds. Don't put a large parrot in it and expect it to withstand the damage they can cause. - The price! I spent twice as much on a semi-large cage at a pet store that they don't even use. The only very minor complaint I have is that the top panel was slightly warped making it a little difficult to finish putting together. But that certainly wouldn't deter me from buying it again. And once it was all put together there was no part of it that could possibly put the birds in any danger. One comment I noticed in a lot of the reviews was the spring loaded doors on the sides. I actually like to use the doors bc they are quite convenient. I found an easy resolution was to use screw-on dishes or perches to hold them shut. So overall, I would definitely recommend this to someone who is looking for a nice flight cage for their smaller birds.

Wow, really happy with this cage! Although I wouldn't describe this as a true white (it's more of an off white color - I included a photo showing it against the white trim in my house for comparison) I'm still very happy with the purchase. I got this for my parrotlet, and while he's had a nicely sized cage for years, I have always felt badly that he didn't have a larger one to enjoy for the times when he can't be outside of his cage (and it can be tough to find large cages with appropriate 1/2" bar spacing or less). He LOVES his new digs though I think I'll need to get him a few more toys now to help furnish his space a bit more! (It's such a large space for him - he looks as though he's got his own personal apartment building and this makes us both beyond happy!!) The cage itself is well made. I like that the bars are textured because I think this helps make it "grippier" for his tiny feet to navigate. A few other reviewers had mentioned they were wondering about the vertical-only bars...I had also been a little concerned about this because my little guy loves to climb, but he's had absolutely no issues getting around. I love all the doors on the cage, especially the two large ones. Man does that make it easy to access - so happy about that! However, I think I may put little clips onto the smaller doors just on the off chance he would figure out how to push them open - I don't want him to get stuck since they are spring-loaded. As far as building this goes - it was straightforward. A bit time-consuming since I did it myself, but easy enough to do. If you're building it on your own though, I found it easiest to do with one side up against a wall or door frame to help keep things balanced as you set things into their places before screwing the pieces together. The storage shelf is a nice touch though I do wish the clearance of it were a little taller to accommodate taller items. I also wish I could leave the pullout bottom grate out of the cage but without it it leaves such a huge gap at the bottom I'm afraid I'd have an escapee or a stuck bird on my hands, so alas, it stays in. I also wish the space between the bottom of the shelf and the floor were a touch larger to make it a bit easier to clean beneath, but overall I'm extremely happy with this purchase and so is my wee little feathery dude. He loves his new digs!

I bought this cage for my 4 budgies as they've outgrown their old cage. This cage is perfect for my birds as it is very big and there's plenty of room for them to fly in it. I'm hoping to get another couple of budgies to go in there as it's very roomy and will accommodate a couple more. There's plenty of doors on the cage and the bottom tray is easy to remove and clean. The added advantage of the wheels is great for when I'm hoovering as I can move it easily. There's also a shelf along the bottom of the cage to store food, millet and other accessories. Included in the cage is perches and dishes. I highly recommend this purchase.

Perfect size for small birds. Easy to assemble

This is a beautiful bird cage! It is so spacious and perfect for soon to be my cockatiel! The most difficult part about the set up of this cage is putting on the legs and the wheels. The wheels are very very difficult to get in and the legs fit very tightly against the bottom piece of the cage. I wound up scratching some of the colouring off of the metal because of it, thankfully it was just a little bit and is not visible. That being said once step two is completed the cage is rather easy to finish setting up and took me under an hour to finish building. Overall a beautiful flight cage and I can’t wait to get my new bird!
