Blake had a very rare talent for offering incredibly insightful screenwriting advice and inspiration. What makes this book so great is that his trademark relatable and timeless style are in full effect throughout each collected piece of writing. This eBook really makes it clear how much he cared about the success of his reader.From page to page, you're getting numerous assorted bits of wisdom. The editors organized the blog entries thematically so that it's an easy read that flows surprisingly well. With every new chapter, I found myself re-evaluating and troubleshooting the screenplays that I have recently completed, and the ones currently in progress. I already have a list of improvements I'm excited about.All in all, it's a really cool and digestible addition to the Save the Cat! series that you can pick up and benefit from no matter what stage in the writing process you're in. Needless to say, the fact that it's all in Blake's own words is a huge bonus!

A Classic. A+++++
Purchased today, and am having absolutely no problems with my Kindle reader. So, I don't know what the others are talking about.But, in terms of the content - what a valuable resource. I find myself on the site, struggling to find some of Blake's older blogs. No more struggle, they are all right here, and now, as I've been reading through them, I'm reminded of what fantastic advice and insights his articles have to offer. This is definitely my portable go-to read, as I work through my rewrites.

What I love about this latest book is that it goes beyond ...
What I love about this latest book is that it goes beyond the technical aspects of breaking down a script. It has excellent blogs about being a professional, the steps that it takes to get there, and the mindset required. Very inspirational! It's my new "go-to" to get past writer's block and procrastination.

I love the theory
I gave this three stars because the book could fall into either a one star or a five star category, depending on your background. If you have read the original Save the Cat, then this is a one star, because there is nothing new here. I love the theory, am sutdying it and applying it to my writing. I had hoped that there would be more tips or insider info, but it is the same information. Save your money.However, If you have not read Save the Cat, then this might be a good introduction to the theory if you enjoy reading blogs. Then this is a five star for you to introduce you to a great way of writing. (I much prefer the well organized and very readable original book.)So, pick your background and reading preferences, then pick the book. The theory is great. You will never write the same way again. And you'll never view a movie the same way again. Happy reading.

An encouraging, and uplifting book with the power to transform your writing.
As a new devotee of 'save the cat', I am in the early stages of this voyage through the fertile waters of my imagination. Despite, having read widely on the writer's craft and written a number of novels, this is the first time I have felt truly in control of the writing process. It is like having a navigation chart at my side. It allows me to enjoy subtle diversions in my journey, whilst at the same time guiding me towards the ultimate destination of publication.

Version is fixed
I haven't read it yet, but at least the issue was fixed in a record time by the editor. Kudos for that.
