Good value for the $$$. Lots of settings & options which is good for me... maybe not for the average user?
I am tempted to give it 5 stars... but for the average user it may be a little frustrating. I have a couple others also (foscam & Yi) which are much easier to setup & much less expensive but have very few features. I have mine set up to reset every night at 2am and e.mail a picture to me every 4 hours... has worked flawlessly for a month after a few initial setup bugs. I have a few logins setup for my family to view the image without accessing the recorded videos & pictures. I did give up on the WIFI and wired it via ethernet cable.... maybe it was my router but it is much more stable when wired directly. I had similar issues with my other cameras... they would work fine for a few weeks & then need to be unplugged to "reset" and work again. It is nice that the phylink camera can be set to reboot itself periodically to avoid this potential issue in case of power "brown-out" that locks up other cameras/etc. I would definitely purchase it again... but seems like it should be less expensive. Its small(ish) outdoor bullet camera makes it unique in the marketplace at this price point... which is probably why it commands a little more $$ than it should.

Great quality & form factor.
Quality :Overall this is a great step up form the 129PW. I believe they are using the newer Sony chipset so that improves the quality. The 3D Denoise feature was great to reduce sharp highlights.Software :The software interface on most Phylink are same. I currently use all my Phylink cameras in PoE mode and they work pretty well. Over time they have greatly improved motion detection thereby reducing false alarms. Email alerts have also been expanded to hotmail, yahoo and iCloud. Multi-color OSD was a great feature added. Continuous recording, alarm recording & snapshots to both NAS, internet FTP and email work well.Form Factor :I like the form factor of the 132PW. It is sleek to the extent that one can place it in a hidden position on the door OR on the wall by drilling a circular hole the size of the lens. The daytime video quality is pretty good and comparable with the 335SPW and the night time/low light quality is somewhat diminished than the 335PW. Obviously, it doesn’t have the IR LEDsSupport :Phylink Support Team is one of the best i have come across. They do take all your feedback with seriousness. And if you have a valid suggestion or feature request/enhancement they will make all efforts to implement it. I have a few 335PW and 335SPW cameras and have no complaints so far. During my initial setup days, they have assisted in minor issues with detailed resolutions. Would definitely continue to do business with them.

Records 1080p 15fps
About PLC-132SPW (PLC-132PW) Version 6.6415fps video looks sketchy and didn't expect. 30fps available only in 720p.Sorry, have to return.Pros:Covert DesignAbility to write directly to NAS (havent validated though)Simple setupOther Cons:Ethernet cable is hard wired into the camera sensor module. Broken cable can make the entire product uselessHard wired cable is difficult to route inside drywall.App crashes when trying to save recorded pictures in iphone

Great idea but product feels unfinished
Updated Review:After I packed up these cameras for return Phylink contacted me and requested I give them a second chance and refunded me the cost in exchange for more in depth testing, though they did offer a 4th camera, presumably of some slightly updated hardware which in the end they did not send. The new testing comes with that caveat.Knowing the hardware limitations these cameras have I changed to 720p30 @ 4mbit and have been running them at this resolution for approximately 1 month. The control boxes run much cooler at this resolution and I am experiencing significantly less frame skipping. More on that below. It is my opinion that the features packed into these devices exceeds the power of the SoC it comes with. As a result you cannot use them at their maximum settings. That may change in the future with firmware updates, but even as of now 2 months later they have not listed the PLC132PW on their website, so I don't know how anyone is supposed to find these firmware updates without contacting support. The main selling point of these devices is that they are hard to see, and I mean really hard to see. Everyday when I come home from work I eyeball the location mine are mounted and you really have to focus to see that it's a camera and if you didn't know it is there you probably will never notice it. If covert situational awareness is more important than absolute pixel perfect high resolution you will find these cameras to be very useful. With regard to resolution, I have not used their 720p native model, but if the performance is similar it's probably a good idea to go with those instead. Alternatively if you are willing to take a significant frame rate hit the image at 1080p is noticeably better than 720p but you will probably want to run them as low as 5fps to keep the units stable. The software has its own motion detection and recording, I still have not been able to get these devices to record to external storage and I'm not going to do any sdcard testing, but just from my past experience with this I recommend streaming into ispy or blue iris just to keep the load on the camera low. We all know WiFi puts small SoC devices under higher than normal load so it's reasonable to expect that you will get better performance with these wired than wireless but that just doesn't work for my install this time.Methodology behind the increase in rating:+1 star- Phylink actually cares what I think as a customer+1 star- I undervalued the stealth aspect of these units in the first reviewIt is refreshing to see a company who cares whether the customer is happy and is willing to put their money where their mouth is so to speak.Bottom line:You will need to do some tweaking to get the optimal balance of quality and reliability out of them for your needs. They don't fully meet expectations but they are not terrible either. An updated hardware revision which meets the advertised 1080p30 rating and a little more powerful cpu could make these things shine.---------------------------Old Review:This is a review for the PLC-132PW 1080P camera. I purchased 3 of them, 2 for outdoor and 1 for behind a window facing outward. I do not recommend this product for the reasons outlined below. There is potential here but it is held back by what appears to be rushed engineering and poor component selection. Support is responsive and largely helpful but in the end their advice amounted to me beta testing for them and I wasn't in the mood for that. I went to retrieve the footage from the motion event in the attached image to include in this review only to find the camera recorded 20 seconds of a still image that appears to be some sort of modern art interpretation of a car. That pretty much sums up my experience with this product so far. They are going back to amazon who I hope promptly crushes them for scrap aluminum.Pros:1) Covert, once it is mounted it doesn't catch the eye unless you know what you are looking for2) Control box works over PoE3) Works fine with blue iris4) Outdoor rated (probably... they do not publish a rating for this model)Neutral:1) WiFi, but not very good, makes cpu run hot and causes what appears to be short disconnects2) The camera mount is OK, it's not as good as the one on the other models amounting to basically an L bracket with a lasso on it but for the most part it works.3) The wire attached to the camera should be longer.4) Control boxes look cheap, they are gold pink aluminum with white antennasCons:1) This is not a 1080P@30fps camera, its 1080P@24fps, so that's a blatant lie on the posted specs, which I confirmed with support when I couldn't get the advertised performance.2) The camera connects to the control box with RJ11 so using existing RJ45 connections and accessories is not possible.3) The camera went into a bootloop when I turned up the stream settings; support handed me a new firmware the next day that fixed it.4) This camera does not appear anywhere on Phylink's website.....5) There is no FTP option, despite what it says, and I wasn't able to get it to reliably write to a windows share either.6) The config reveals a number of default passwords, connections, and behaviors that are an obvious security risk and cannot be changed easily.7) The sensor on this camera isn't very good, it cannot identify a license plate number at 20-25 feet even under optimal lighting.8) The Phylink mobile app requires P2P to be enabled.9) The control box runs warm, having all advanced settings like motion detection turned off for minimal load I measured the aluminum control boxes at 99F in 70F ambient.10) The feed skips, blocks, and pixelates under moderate motion like a vehicle passing, probably a symptom of poor compression.

It sucks
I dislike this product! It is junk! Motion sensor works 1 in 10 times. It only records for 2 seconds at a time regardless of your settings. There is no night vision and even when there is ample amounts of light it fails.Very disappointed in this product and would not recommend it.

The camera worked excellent for about four months when an intermittent video issue ...
I purchased one of these cameras for my security system for an area that had no way to hard wire a connection. The camera worked excellent for about four months when an intermittent video issue started cropping up. I contacted the seller, Phylink, and after describing the problem they immediately sent me a replacement unit. The new one went in and has been working perfectly ever since. I was really impressed with the quick and courteous customer service and would not hesitate to purchase more from them if the need arises.
