Asus VZ279H Frameless 27" 5ms (GTG) IPS Widescreen LCD/LED Monitor

I got this for my son who is a gamer and it was a 2nd monitor for him I bought him one just like it for Christmas and we redone his entire room so he wanted a 2nd monitor the only thing I don't like is he tries to go into the settings and change the brightness but it wont it goes right back to being brighter than the one he has just like it and when they deliver it they are not careful the delivery driver dropped it and I saw him and I said I hope nothing is wrong with this now!!

I specifically bought this for the eyecare feature, however, after setting it up and choosing the suggested setting, I find the feature to be ineffective. Can't say if it's just this unit though. The side frame seemed to be compromised. Don't know if they purposely sent me a damaged unit, knowing that I'm in another country, and shipping it back, is almost the cost of the unit itself. Beyond that, it works very well. If you consider that my complaint could be isolated, go get one.

Very nice display, especially for the price. Crisp colors, frameless. Two HDMI plus d-sub VGA. Deducted one star for the lack of an audio out jack and a usb port.The USB port is no biggie, but if you want to switch between several PCs, the lack of an audio out or headphone jack is not welcome.

I LOVE this monitor, i was going to purchase a second one because I received a mount for Christmas,but this monitor is NOT VESA comparable unfortunately. That is the only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars.

I have always been a fan of ASUS brand monitors but Unfortunately this is my least favorite. The display quality is awesome as usual, but it is the audio that fell short this time. The placement of the speakers is in a strange place on the backside of the monitor. I literally have to have volume turned all the way up to be able to hear words clearly. Besides having to go in and adjust audio presets I don't believe there is much you can do outside of having to buy separate computer speakers. My last ASUS monitor was perfectly clear and loud, this model fell WAY short of my expectations.

The old 27" ASUS monitor that I had was the frame type. This is so much better. The only problem I have had is that the monitor will flick off then on for 2 seconds periodically.

I use this for video editing. No complaints for the price, 0 lag. Super thin, I store it under the coffee table.

These monitors are really great! Purchased two and hooked them up to a macbook pro. Everything is clear.

I had to replace my 12-year old Acer LCD, so I started shopping around. I got down to two choices - the Asus MX279H and the Asus VZ279H. There are only three real differences between the two displays - the MX has a headphone jack, larger speakers with B&O amps, and an aluminum base. I will never use the speakers, I don't care about the headphone jack, and the base, while it looks nice, was not important to me.With a $50 or more lower price, the VZ was the logical choice, Also, the MX is a 2013 product. I do not regret my choice. This is a beautiful display, both physically and electronically. It is vastly superior to my old display, and I love it.

Very stylish and modern monitor! Amazing colors with 8 preset viewing modes. The scenery mode is the one for me since I watch a lot of streaming or Blu-ray movies. As for the speakers go, I didn't plug them since I have a 5.1 speakers system. This frameless monitor fits almost anywhere and the viewing angles are very wide. But be aware of its tinny panel when adjusting the viewing angle for the first time because it's a little stiff (go slowly).And Since I have an ASUS pc for several years now and never been disappointed about it, I knew I wouldn't regret buying this monitor and I reeeeeeeeeeeeally don't !

ASUS VZ279H is a great monitor. I already had one and needed another monitor to make it a dual screen, was unable to find this particular model in local bestbuy or staples etc store. Got great deal at amazon, great product for a fair price.

Love the frameless feature. Nice colour resolution.
