Solid wifi extender
I am well versed with Wifi technologies. This is a great little extender that I used in an home ASUS mesh environment. While this does not connect to AImesh it does connect easily to the environment and is compatible. I use this for a covered patio outside during the warm months of the year. I access the GUI through a web browser interface....not an app so I can't speak to that (just old). It is a dual band extender. I usually use 5ghz for the backhaul and 2.4 for the extension channel. At max performance this device easily reaches my shed with strong signal about 100 ft away. I choose a more limited performance due to wifi interference at the 2.4 level. This works extremely well on covering the patio areas and not bleeding over into the house. This device replaces much more expensive devices (Nighthawk extenders) and works far better. At the $40 deal price that I purchased this on it can be offered up outside under the patio and is affordable to replace unlike the Nighthawks. I've had problems with the GUI in the past with TP Link but this web interface was straightforward and easy to follow. Its easy to plug it in and then unplug it when necessary. The boot time is long but that is the case with most network devices. The connections are solid to multiple devices and the throughput and download speeds are acceptable for 4k streaming from the internet and internal network. A worthy purchase at the price point for my use.

So easy to install...and it works fantastic
I have tried numerous wifi "extenders" over the past 5 years or so, and none of them worked in contrast to the product claims by the manufacturer. I recently upgraded my router to a TP-Link AX21 (AX1800) wifi 6 model. I get great coverage inside my home, but venture outside onto my terrace and its signal could not produce a reliable connection. I was contemplating scrapping the router and going with a mesh router with satellites. But I just bought the router, was happy with it overall and I paid $100 USD for it. Then I began my search anew for an extender that would work with my router. Then I found this little baby for $70 on Amazon. I decided to give it a try, especially given Amazon's liberal return policies. I received the unit quickly and decided to pair it to my TP-Link router via the WPS mode. I plugged it in near my router. Step 1: press the WPS button on the router. Step 2: within 2 minutes, hold the WPS button on the extender for 2 seconds. Step 3: wait up to 2 minutes for pairing to be complete. Well, it worked flawlessly. I moved the extender to an AC outlet next to the door leading outside. I now got full wifi signal outside in either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Also note, 5 GHz is great unless it is restricted by walls. So in the past, any signal I did receive outside had to be 2.4GHz. Now I can use either, and the connection strength on my iPhone 12 mini is great outside the house. Pages load instantly. YouTube videos stream flawlessly with no stuttering or lost connection. I could't be happier. Please note that the AX 21 TP-Link router has a design feature they call One Mesh. This extender also supports One Mesh. So unlike the extenders I have tried in the past, this extender maintains the same router channel name and SSID. So roaming is a seamless experience. I advise anyone looking for a good extender to consider this unit. But research is needed to make sure this extender is compatible with your router. I bought this extender because it specifically states it is One Mesh, and even bears the moniker "AX1800", undoubtedly with reference to my TP-Link AX1800 (AX21). Always choose an extender that allows for maintaining the same router channel name AND SSID. Other routers also have a feature to mesh with their extenders, so start your search there. Hope this helps!

Capable Extender, But Not Sure It's for Everyone – Younger Tech Users May Appreciate It More
Capable Extender, But Not Sure It's for Everyone – Younger Tech Users May Appreciate It More I'd put this TP-Link AX1800 WiFi 6 extender at about 4 stars, though I'll be upfront—I'm not entirely sure I'm a fan of this product personally. The specs are genuinely impressive on paper: WiFi 6 support, dual band, coverage up to 1500 sq. ft., Gigabit ethernet port, AP mode, and OneMesh compatibility all sound great and deliver for the right user. Once it's fully set up and running, the signal boost and coverage improvement are noticeable and perform well. My hesitation comes down to the setup process—there's a fair amount of prep work and configuration involved before you're up and running, and for someone who just wants to plug it in and go, it can feel like more effort than expected. I think a younger, more tech-savvy user would probably appreciate all the advanced features and get more out of it than I have. If you're comfortable with network configuration and want a capable, feature-rich WiFi 6 extender, this one delivers solid performance. Just be prepared to invest some time in the setup to get the most out of it.

Good WiFi Extender
Good WiFi extender and very easy to set up. I initially had some trouble getting the full range, but after placing it higher up, the signal now reaches throughout the whole house. The connection is stable, fast, and reliable. Has an ethernet port for changing it into AP mode. Great value for the money.

Worked great for 6 months, then died, and service as a pain
This worked great for me for 6 months and stopped working suddenly. I called TP-link for service and needed to jump through a few hoops over multiple days to get "an RMA for replacement". Come to find out to get the replacement I need to send the nonfunctional unit back to them at my expense, and then they'll send a new unit to me via ground shipping, unless I pay more. But wait, I need the extender - I can't wait days to get an answer and then more days to send a broken product back and then more days to get a new one. If this service and reliability works for you, please buy this product, and trust this vendor. If not, maybe try a different vendor. I did.

Reliable, affordable solution to WiFi dead zones
I started having constant connectivity issues in my bedroom, and Xfinity told me I’d need to rent or buy a $200 extender. After some research, I found this TP-Link model and decided to give it a try. It arrived within 24 hours, was incredibly easy to set up, and has been rock solid ever since—months later, I’ve had zero issues. The only thing I’d note is that, like most extenders, you need to place it carefully for the best coverage. Otherwise, no complaints at all. This extender is perfect for anyone dealing with dead zones or spotty coverage who doesn’t want to overpay for an ISP-branded solution. It’s affordable, dependable, and does exactly what it promises.

Working great with my PC and other devices!
TP-Link AX1800 WiFi 6 Extender Internet Booster My home office is one floor below and 30' to the side of our router. Plus, there is a desk, file cabinet and walls between the PC and the router upstairs so my signal was pretty weak. To use this, you have to set it up by plugging into an outlet right near the router and it creates 2 new channels with the same name as you have but tacks on '_EXT' to the ends of the 2 new channels. So you wind up with 4 channels effectively. I then moved the extender to an outlet in the office downstairs which is about 9' from the PC and it found the router again within just about one minute. Then you sign in with the same password to connect your PC, phone or tablet to the '_EXT' channel you want. It worked great and greatly boosted my 2.4ghz and 5G signals to my PC. I highly recommend this extender for price, signal and ease of setup.

Fast but very difficult to configure
The GOOD: once up and running, it delivers excellent range extension, and the 1Gbps ethernet connector works well - am getting close the maximum my fiber network can provide. The BAD: the configuration options are awful. Initially I tried the Tether app option, but it would not register the device. Maybe that's because my router is an Eero, not a TP Link router; but in any case I tried repeatedly and it would not get past the first screen. The support video for the device install actually depicts different setup options in the app, and shows a different model of extender - so not really helpful! I was able to configure the device fairly easily using an Ethernet cable to a laptop that was not otherwise connected to the network. BUT... after configuration, I wanted to go back and make changes, and I could not get back in to the administration screens - again, I tried the Tether app, and the suggested tplinkrepeater.net link - neither worked. The only option was to factory reset the device and start over again. The UNEXPECTED: I could use this device to heat my office! Boy, does this thing run HOT. According to my laser thermometer, it's at 119 degrees F !! I have to say I don't care for the design either. It is big, and is intended to be plugged directly into a wall socket. I put it on a 12" extension so that the back of the unit could cool, away from the wall.

Also Repeater und Extender neu installiert, keine Besserung.

Great solution for better wifi.
Works great and was a simple solution to extending the wifi to our bunkie in cottage country. Had a little difficulty at first with connecting to my wifi but was given valuable assistance from Lee who solved the problem easily and quickly. Thanks!
