Why did you pick this product vs others?: The lid leaks sometimes and you have to adjust the cap often. But it is good, just be aware before you dump water on yourself.

I'm torn on this one. I thought I was getting the standard green bottle in red, but this is a bit different, and my overall feelings on whether this is better than the green ones are inconclusive. I just wanted a different color because my daughter tends to obscond with them and then I find four under her bed at some point. If she knows that some are not for her, she'd leave them alone. Pros - The insulation is actually pretty nice, keeps it from sweating all over the place, and keeps drinks colder for longer than I expected, a couple of hours. Cons - it's a bit harder to just squeeze to get water out of because of the double-wall so you have to actually suck it a bit. It's not going to go through the dishwasher. Otherwise it's about the same as the standard green ones: weight is about the same, grip is the same, same size (smaller volume, though), and so far has held up, but we'll see if it lasts for years like the simple bottles do.

Bought this Gatorade squeeze bottle because my 12-year-old daughter is convinced she’s destined to be the next Patrick Mahogany—yes, Mahogany, because apparently remembering “Mahomes” isn’t part of her game plan. The bottle is solid: easy to squeeze, doesn’t leak, and makes drinking water feel like a team sport. But the real magic? It’s transformed every sip into a full-blown NFL highlight reel. She refuses to drink like a normal human anymore. Instead, she insists on “hydration drills”—sprinting across the yard, squatting mid-stride, and squeezing water into her mouth like she’s down by 3 with 10 seconds on the clock. Of course, half the water ends up on her shirt, but she claims it’s part of her “training.” She even told me she feels “closer to greatness” with this bottle. Honestly, if it gets her to drink more water and less soda, I’ll take it. 5/5 stars for functionality. Minus 1 star because now I have to hear her yell “Let’s GOOOOOO” every time she squeezes it. Final verdict: Patrick Mahogany approves.

As you can see, they made a few changes. I've had the silver one on the right for over six months, and I wanted to get a red one (I wish there was a dark purple). They changed the top to one that's less favorable in my opinion. I like to bite down on the top to hold it in place while I'm using it, and with the new cap, I can't do that. Also, I noticed that the new one is much easier to squeeze. I'm not sure if this is because they used thinner plastic or less insulation, but whichever it is, it's been reduced by at least 40%. My original bottle would stay cool for over three hours in the car on a hot day. I'm not sure yet how long the new one will last. Other than that, I like these bottles and will continue using them. If anything comes up, I will provide an update. EDIT: I tried it out for a while it definitely does stay cold for as long and after not even a day of using the bottle top that came with it I hated how it was without the older style nipple and i swapped the cap from my old bottle onto it and now it’s great. Just wish it stayed cold for as long as the older one
