Excellent Spikes for Fruit Trees
These fertilizer spikes really helped our fruit trees survive. They have grown and produced fruit, with the added aid of the Jobe's Fertilizer Spikes. It is a bit tedious pounding them into the ground, if you have a lot of trees, but it is well worth it! I credit these spikes with helping our new fruit trees make it through a harsh winter. I will absolutely be buying more of these Jobe's spikes for our budding orchard. The trees are thriving. Thanks, Jobe's!

Good buy
If you have very many fruit trees and wish to fertilize them, this is the best way to go, because if you put the amount of sticks out as the directions say, you'll use quite a few for each tree, depending on how big your trees are. These work great, since I started using them my trees are growing more each year and producing more. I would suggest using a rubber mallet to tap them in the ground, and do it when the grounds not real dry, otherwise you will probably crumble the tops of the sticks even with the little protective installation cup.

Great product
The box was very beat up and corners were rounded. However, not one of the jobes stakes were damaged. I have more fruit trees and flowering trees than I can Count; I need a box once a year. Sometimes I break them a put pieces in my smaller potted plants . If used in potted plants more watering is necessary.

Good Product! Good Value!
This is my second order of these fertilizer spikes. After using the first order, my apple trees had a record crop. So I ordered them again. And as with my first order, The box arrived as scheduled. I had forgotten how heavy it was. Be careful when handling it. It took me a couple years to use all the spikes last time and by the time I used the last spike they had begun to deteriorate. I should have stored them better. They are shipped loose in a cardboard box. This time I opened the box and found again a dozen plastic caps, 32 bags and 160 unbroken fertilizer spikes. I divided up the spikes and put 5 in each bag and sealed them with a wire tie wrap. Hopefully this will help them stay fresh longer. I have clay soil that is typically pretty hard so I usually use a crowbar to pound a whole in the ground then drop the spike in and tap down below the surface. This year I purchased an auger for my drill. Hopefully that will make the installation of the spikes a little easier.

Best Value
We have orchards here on the farm and have always used Jobe's tree fertilizer spikes and we love this much larger convenient size so that in the spring we can get all of them fertilized in one go. Our fruit trees just love them and reward us with so much fruit it is almost impossible to keep up with them, but we manage. If you want more from your orchard, consider these spikes. We have found that with our hard ground, we use a huge spike to make a hole in the ground, take the plastic cap off and place the fertilizer spike into the hole cover it up and viola, two or three at each tree and onto the next. Our farmhands say they really like these fertilizer spikes, and it is not hard to put them in.

Excellent
Fast shipping. Box is super heavy so took some beating and some crumbling on edge if steaks but they are fine. This product shows a huge difference in my trees. I have used spring and fall on my trees for years an will continue to use. Provides beautiful leaves and fruits.
User
Easy to use and works great on fruit trees.
These spikes are hardy and won't crumble when driving them into the ground. The only drawback to this sized purchase is the box they are shipped in. The box is very flimsy and poorly taped so once they arrived the box was open on both the top and bottom with one single piece of tape.

They worked well!
After decades of no fertilizer, I used these in the spring to fertilize really old apple trees. The results on the oldest trees was remarkable, as I have an abundance of apples on trees that were almost barren in past years. I used a bulb planter and cordless drill so I would not have to pound them into the ground.

Box was delivered full, dry, and with all stakes unbroken. Came with lots of rubber caps. The stakes were easy to drive into the ground and didn't shatter or crack. Will buy again.
