I have an i phone for work and an android for personal use, and prefer to only have one set of earbuds which I can plug into either. This makes it so my iphone works with the 3.5 mm plug. PLUS, I really hate how the i phone earbuds won't charge while I am talking. It is the worst when I have just been through a long day in the field, get to the airport and charge in my phone, and then get a work call so I have to unplug it from the charger. Yes...I know I could use blue tooth earbuds, but again, those aren't convenient when you have two phones that you are juggling between. I would much rather use the corded earplugs for the work application.

I favor wired headsets over blue tooth. This is a handy little adapter to take a headset from 3.5 millimeter to lightening prong. It's effective. Sounds quality hasn't been impacted and it's easy to use.Although I am not using it this way, you can also use it charge up your earbuds too. The instructions also say that you can use it for a combo audio headset and charging splitter too. I'll have to try that.This adapter is easy to use and no additional software is required.
