Pricey but reliable
Range hoods are a delimma. They come in a bewildering number of styles, exhaust methods, filter methods, decibel levels and lighting configurations. In my own application I wanted the closest thing I could find to a commercial unit in terms of CFM removed from the work area, without requiring “make up” air. It had to remove smoke and grease to the outside of the house yet be mounted in an existing cabinet. I purchased this item (not from Amazon) in 2015. Other that the occasional light bulb burn out (which are a little difficult to replace) all criteria were met and as a bonus find it kind of stylish. A little pricey but extremely reliable. Mine did not come damaged! Buy a ten pack of bulbs if you purchase this and make very sure of the size bulbs you order.
