Stained Glass Window Privacy Film,3D Rainbow Static Cling,Pure 17.5"x78.7"

I am so impressed with this window film. I installed it on our bathroom window this afternoon. The process was quicker than I thought it would be. I took about 15 minutes cleaning the window thoroughly and prepping materials (pre-trimming the length of the window film, unsticking the corner of the window film, etc). The installation itself went quickly and took maybe another 15 minutes, including pushing all the water out and trimming all the edges with a razor blade. I've never installed window film or contact paper or wallpaper before, so reading reviews on different window films made me a little nervous. But the one I chose (the textured frosted glass look with faux lead glass lines) was incredibly forgiving due to its thickness and texture. I'll follow back up if I find out in the next few days/weeks that it's not staying up, but so far so good. Note: I used distilled water in a spray bottle to get the window really wet before installation (I didn't have any baby soap on hand or I probably would've added a little to the spray bottle as recommended). I bought a kit with the small squeegee accessories and a precision razor, but I think using an old credit card or ID, paired with a plain old straight razor blade, would work just as well. In fact in the end I used a regular razor blade and it was far more efficient. As far as privacy goes, it's perfect. Today is a sunny June day and the light that comes in is beautiful. It obcures everything outside our window, and adds the privacy we need with our next door neighbors having a window almost directly across from us. Hope this helps! And I'll follow back up if there are any issues down the road. _____ Update: 1 year and 3 months later, we still love this window privacy film as much as day 1. The film has held firmly in place and we haven't had to make any adjustments at all. We highly recommend this product!

I LOVE how these came out. They make my space so whimsical and are perfect for living on the ground floor. I was afraid they would look tacky but it looks so cute. Not as clingy as other brands I’ve used so I had to re-spray with water a few times before it really stuck. It was well worth the struggle. I can only see general shapes through the film unless I get really close. I recommend using a cutting mat, long metal ruler and exacto blade to get a perfect cut for installation. Order extra so you can line up the pattern in the same spot for each window, the pattern repeat is kind of long.

I love this so much I walk by and just stare at it. My 5 year old was even excited because he can see rainbows in it! I put it in my bathroom window because it’s low enough to where neighbors can see you showering. So this was for privacy, but I’m also big on still being able to see outside and have light come in for my plants. Not only does this create the privacy we need, but you can still see outside (though somewhat distorted) and it doesn’t block the sun rays from coming in for the plants. I did choose the grey alligator looking print, as I figured this would make it harder for someone to see through than the clear. At night it’s pretty dark. I do only shower with the night light on so people can‘t see in, i’m not sure I’d recommend you showering with your actual bathroom light on at night with these as I imagine people would be able to see “enough” from the outside. But for us it works. If you’re up close you can see outside pretty clearly (again somewhat distorted). From farther away it gets less and less clear. When I take a shower I just stare at it, it’s such a beautiful addition to our bathroom. Installation was decently easy. I didn’t have a squeegee, just a box cutter. So I what I did was cut it mostly to size and set it aside. Then cleaned the window with windex and dried it. Put soapy water on a paper towel and then soaked the window with it. Lined up the film and then cut off the excess and just pushed the water out with my hand till it was perfect like a squeegee would. So far it has not even raised off a little bit and I’ve taken atleast 7-10 hot showers with it on.

I needed a bit more window coverage than lace curtains because my German Shep/Pyrenees CANNOT STOP BARKING AT EVERYTHING. She is always on high alert to let anyone walking by that she’s watching, and my 1890’s windows are basically fingernail thin and provide no sound barrier so the entire neighbor can hear the her. These window clings are thicker and more textured than others I’ve purchased, which did make applying them a bit more difficult and more bubbles to squeegee out but they seem durable enough to withstand multiple reapplications. After a few weeks, 2 of 3 windows needed to be redone while other windows I’ve covered have not, but I guess that would imply they’re easy to remove if you ever wanted to. The big plus of these is that they let in a really nice amount of natural light and look good both from the inside and outside, and my dog cannot see out the window well enough to figure out what she’s barking at, so it’s significantly cut down the barking which made these worth the money. I wouldn’t use this on large windows again, but would consider it for smaller/not antique thin windows.

I am obsessed with these window clings, I’ve been using them for years and this one is my all time favorite. The color and patterns it creates is stunning and it provides plenty of light without frying my plants. They are so easy to use and easy to clean. It was so easy to cut and set up on my old windows and seems to provide sufficient warmth without too much or too little heat loss. I didn’t have much of an issue with bubbles or bubble size when I installed them so that’s a plus. They work so well for so many things to providing that good soft lighting and adds so much color when the morning sun hits. I will definitely be purchasing more from this company, I am really enjoying this pattern and quality of material so far.

Honestly it’s challenging to use. My husband called it quits two panes in. If it had grids on the backing that would’ve been so much easier. The fact that I had to measure out each individual piece to fit 15 panes on either side SUCKED. The pattern is really nice, but I ended up having so much waste because we specifically wanted each pane to be the same- that’s my own issue, though. For 30 panes, we bought one small roll to see if we liked it, and then one of the largest sizes, but I still didn’t have enough to finish the doors due to the waste of the product. I also found that if I made too much of a gap you can see it very obviously. I have to buy one more small roll to finish the last two and then hopefully repair one or two panes that I cut too short. It cuts nicely and is definitely one of the more opaque varieties and is not as see through as other options.

So I actually did want a window cling that wasn’t 100% solid, I wanted to still be able to see through it but not everything. I tried looking for some that stated this but all of them said full coverage but that’s basically what I got! I ended up pairing it with a sheer curtain so that way I can see through as needed. I would say I’m able to see through only if I’m directly in front close to the window trying to focus on what I’m looking at, other than that you can’t see through it if your even 1 foot away. I like that the effect of the prism/rainbow isn’t too colorful but still there! It was VERY easy to install even when having to cut up several pieces. (The picture I took was around 6:00 pm and on the window that’s facing the center closed in yard area for my apartment complex, so not a lot of light is coming in at this point! I will come back later if I notice a difference in the opaqueness of the product during the day time when it’s sunny.) Update: ITS SO BEAUTIFUL during the day and when it’s sunny even with the sun not directly facing the center of my apartment complex! You see the rainbow effect but it’s not obnoxiously rainbow/blinding. And I would say the transparency is about the same day/night but at night it seems, of course, to be way more visible through. I really love how there is a slight bit transparency if you go up to the window and have your face directly in front of it, as I still want to be able to see outside. You’re really only able to see outlines sort of, even then it’s very blurry. I love how versatile it is I definitely plan to order ALOT more. (In my video I included how it looks at night, during the day with the very sheer curtain in front of the window and lifting the curtain away to see just with the window cling)

I love this product! It was pretty easy to install if you have a sharp blade and measure before hand, it’s not adhesive, but it does stick to the windows. I love that because it is renter friendly and we don’t have to buy curtains to open and close. I’ve had no issues with it peeling off from the shower. I love how it covers our window without blocking the light. I took pictures at night, at sunset, and a video during the day when the sun is out. The close-up photo is looking through from the outside of our apartment building. You can see it let’s a lot of light in while still keeping your privacy. The product is exactly the color as pictured, no complaints there. I had a lot of extra, so there’s good size to it, and I look forward to using it on other areas of our apartment where we need privacy. The only thing I might complain about, would be the bubble size because although it lets a lot of light and keeps privacy during the day, during night, you can still see shapes through it. If you don’t have a problem with that, then get it!

We are renovating and just got a new door. We wanted privacy. Since our house faces east, the only time we see the rainbow effect is if the sun comes up over the mountains in the morning. When the sun is up, it just looks like very nice clear, colorless stained glass effect. When looking in from outside with the lights on inside, you can see a shape moving but not identify a person in any way. Definitely would order again! Good thickness.

Terrible do not recommend

Pretty but not the right colour, does not have green/multicoloured shades through it like in the photos advertised. Disappointed as I wouldn’t have bought this pattern if I knew it would be clear/no colour. Easy to install is the plus side and does the job for now, does cast pretty rainbows on the floor.

This product originally caught my eye because it seemed to have a dragonfly pattern and very rainbow like effect--yet quite opaque in its privacy. In reality, the pattern is made from tiny, identical squares--a grid pattern--which is incredibly clear and has super little rainbow effect. I still tried using the film, but it does not stick to glass very long. After a few days it keeps peeling off. Incredibly disappointed.

I have this covering my bedroom window and couldn’t be any happier
