Works as expected - integrated into Apple HomeKit and can control via Siri or HomeKit app
Reviewed Jan 2024:We've 3 of these.. A 4 gang version in the shed, and a couple of the 6 gang versions that are in the house. The shed one is connected to a motion detector and internal and external cameras, the idea being that if there are connection problems with those devices, I can reboot them from the power strip. To be fair, I've not yet had to do this, but I'm a little paranoid about stuff getting pinched. In the house, one is on my desk, so PC, monitors, powered USB hub and the other one is in the bedroom, powering AppleTV, TV, soundbar, etc. I bought both of these because they were on sale around black Friday and they replaced cheap power strips that did not have individual switches per gang (yet along the ability to control them remotely). As I'm typing this review, I'm asking myself if I really need these to be connected and remotely controlled.... Perhaps I will want to shut them down at the power source if I'm away for a long period of timne, maybe I'll be saving a tiny amount of standby power if I was to power them down from a day to day perspective, but so far, I've not been motivated to do this.Away from the use, what I can say...Setting them up and getting them connected was really easy.. Note I'm using Apple homekit, and for me, the QR scanning code rarely works during setup, this might be as a result of my antique iPhone. But setting them up in the Meross app was relatively straight forward.TIP: Keep the box so you know exactly what item you are setting up in the Meross app, as there are several model numbers to choose from.

Works well with Home Assistant
I bought two of these and both have been reliable. I use the HomeKit version with Home Assistant and the individual mains sockets are exposed separately, which makes them very useful for automations and remote power control. Itโs much tidier than using a normal extension lead with several separate smart plugs. I still keep the Meross app available for setup/firmware management, but day-to-day control is through Home Assistant.

Good with some obvious flaws
Good, works and had plenty of plugs. The app is well lade out, has all the basic features one would expect, and other than 2 problems mentioned below works well. Setting up Google home worked quickly and easily. Now the downsides:The initial setup failed about 5 times before eventually working (the device was about a foot away from me and about 5 feet from the wifi access point so none of those are reasons why. There is no way to individually turn the plugs on and off other than the app or a voice assistant. Only a switch to turn them all off or on. Other smart power stripes I've used have a button for each plug.If it loses WiFi then it needs to be reset and reconfigured (with the very buggy process to do that.)The app sometimes fails to correctly read the on/off status of an indivual plug if it has been changed buy a different app or device or by schedules within the meroos app and this works fine but the app won't recognise the change. For example I have a the app scheduled to turn my electric heater for my work room off after 20 mins, and this works correctly, but the app will still show the plug is on even after closing the app, a refresh button that works would be nice.

Great bit of kit a must for any home.
I have had two of these strips for well over 2 years now and I can honestly say they haven't missed a step. The setup is just so easy to do via the Meross app, you can customise each sockets name, create a routine for each socket and the 4 usb port (the 4 usb ports are classed as one usb socket). These also have built in surge protect from mains power spike so great for you pc to be plugged into. I bought these both on a Black Friday deal so definitely worth the money if you compare it to buying 6 smart plugs. When switching on or off you can do this via the main switch in the app or on the socket so you hear a little click which I find reassuring it has been switched on or off. The click noise will definitely not keep you awake if you have a routine set up. The connectivity is really good, occasionally these might disconnect but it very rarely happens. The gripe I have is these are not thread and will not extend you thread connectivity, also these do not have power monitoring.

Effortless Smart Home Upgrade - Meross Smart Power Strip Rocks!
I'm seriously impressed with the Meross Smart Power Strip. It's made adding smart control to my devices an absolute breeze. Here's why I love it:Super Simple Setup: Honestly, it was ridiculously easy to connect to my Wi-Fi and get it working with Alexa. No complicated tech stuff, it just works!Rock-Solid Reliability: Since setting it up, I haven't had a single dropout or issue. It responds instantly to commands, whether it's through the app or voice control.Customization for the Win: I love that I can rename each outlet! No more remembering "outlet 3" is the lamp โ it makes control so much easier.Home Assistant Heaven: If you're into Home Assistant like me, this integrates beautifully. It was a snap to set up and offers total control.Should you buy it? If you want an easy, reliable way to make your existing appliances or lights smart, this is a no-brainer. It's well-made, simple to use, and expands your smart home possibilities without breaking the bank. I'm definitely considering getting another one!Note: I happily give this product 5 stars. While I haven't had it long enough to comment on extreme long-term durability, its performance so far has been flawless.

Does what it says on the packet - no issues
This is what you want in a smart device. Connected straight away and both the whole unit and the individual sockets showed up immediately in Alexa.Of note, although it is quite clear in the description, is that all four USB sockets are controlled as one. You can't turn them on and off individually, like you can with the three pin sockets.

Stopped working after 1 month!
I have 3 of these smart strips. 2 of which I bought together. This evening the 2 that I bought together suddenly disconnected from the Wi-Fi.Seeing as I primarily use these with Google voice assistant, having them off the cloud makes them useless.Nonetheless I followed the usual procedures. First reset the router, still didnโt connect. Power cycled them, still didnโt connect. Ooof, factory reset it is. Deleted everything from the meross app, as well as home kit(I have the HomeKit version). Followed the entire process of reconnecting with HomeKit, it connects no issues. However, moving onto connecting to the Wi-Fi (what I actually need it to do) it still wouldnโt connect. Finally I cave, reset the network settings on my phone, set up a dedicated 2.4ghz channel on the deco router for them to connect to and repeat the process a total of 7 times. Every single time they just wonโt connect to the Wi-Fi or show up in the meross app, they only connect to home kit.Checking Reddit meross has been having a lot of issues with scenes not triggering correctly, voice assistants not working and now this. This isnโt my first Wi-Fi IoT device, but it will be my last. Regardless of being connected to home kit youโll still have this consistent bright flashing green LED if you donโt connect to the Wi-Fi. Zigbee only going forwardโฆ

Product is Ok. Absolutely Terrible Setup experience and Poor Product Support
This arrived earlier today and eight hours later I still don't have it connected to anything. Merros support is really poor, the only option is email through a form that limits to 500 characters and one very small video. I would normally make a decision AFTER I had received support or sent it back, but I don't want others wasting their time and moneyCurrently the product is unusable as a smart device, which makes it a complete waste of money.UPDATE:It took four days to get an initial response to my support request and every response came the day after I supplied the data requested. Ultimately they informed me that the product seemed to be faulty. Support offered to replace the item but it would take 3-4 days. Amazon did a replacement the next day.The new item connected first time and was easy to find/connect to other systems.Easy setup seems to mean poor troubleshooting, combined with poor support response times. Overall a good product if it works, but based on this experience I would consider alternatives unless you have already bought into this eco system.

Reliable product
Very easy to set up. Reliable connection. Only thing is no individual button to control each plug. But Siri can be used to operate though. Overall satisfy!
