A very good value in a knee chair, easy to assemble
I looked for a knee chair for my son on the recommendation of our doctor. After looking for one at the big box and office stores, I found this one on Amazon. Attractively priced and with a good set of positive reviews I ordered one. (As you'll see, the product description from the supplier is woefully uninformative.)So far so good. I would give it an A+ on performance, a B on assembly/ fit and finish. Here's why:The chair will accommodate people between 5'5" and 6'2" (maybe a little less) based on the ones who have tried it in our home. I'm taller (6'4") and am able to use it but would like it to be a little larger. My son is 5'9" and weighs in at around 130 lbs and it fits him well. The overall quality of the chair is nice, once built. The wood is very solid, the metal fittings are true and the casters are smooth. Overall assembly took about 45 minutes - it would have been less but I ran into a manufacturing problem. One of the screw holes wasn't countersunk/ bored completely and the corresponding bolt didn't fit flush as its partner did in another parallel hole. After reassembling the chair to ensure the issue wasn't due to "pilot error" I discovered the problem and corrected it with a suitable drill and bit. After that, the chair went together smoothly. I would assume that allowing for this one small defect, assembly would be easy and possible in the 15-20 minutes noted in other reviews. For future tightening up of the screws, I taped the included Allen head wrench to the bottom of the char.I like the quality of the foam padding, and it will be good to revisit this in a few months to see how it holds up to daily use. It is certainly much more comfortable than office chairs found at office supply stores with regular foam. The foam on this knee chair is very thick, recovers well to its original shape (just as you would expect from memory foam) and quite comfortable.I appreciate how the chair helps my son with his posture when sitting in a chair. Known for his ability to slump as low as possible in chairs, this one keeps him sitting up and straight. There aren't a lot of fine tuning adjustments available for this chair, but it does what it needs to do with little fuss and muss.As others have noted, consider your height: we found that most people in our family could use the chair, but requires an adjustable height desk for best results. Either that or consider using a PC riser to raise the height of your monitor and work surface if you are unable to adjust your desk height. I read that one reviewer addressed the height issue by drilling new holes to accommodate a shorter height - this is certainly possible given the wood frame. Given the references to chairs breaking at the points where the bolts connect through the wood, it will be interesting to see if the chair hold up to the stresses and strains that a teenager can dish out.Overall, I'd buy this chair again (and may do so for our other son) and would recommended them to our friends.

Works great for me, could help you too
The chair itself is sturdy and of good quality in my opinion. As to how well it works to sit in; ie. how comfortable it is... that is tricky for me to say because of my situation.I have 2 ruptured discs + a third bulging and a bone spur all in my lower back. Sitting is painful for me, unless I lean forward.I thought this chair would be a good solution.. I thought using it the way it is SUPPOSED to be used that I would sit with better posture and that would relieve my pressure / pain. - Unfortunately for my situation it wasnt enough. My posture was better but not enough forward lean. Sitting up straight would be great for most people (and those people should definitely give this chair a try!), but for me that is still too painful. However, I have found a way to make this chair work for me (in fact I am using it right now). I sit it in backwards. I sit facing the opposite way from what is intended ..with my bottom on the pad your knees are supposed to be on, and then it makes me lean forward and my torse / cheat area rests partially on the upper pad that youre actually supposed to be sitting on. - Hey it works, for *Me*. I look silly but I dont care ..it has helped me so much. I use it at my home desk, and I take it out to the living room to sit / lean on and watch movies. It's nice to no longer have to stand up and watch movies because sitting on soft couches is too painful.*note* to those using this chair the correct way. In case you don't already know, when you are knew to using a kneeling chair, you should only use it about 30 minutes a day for the first week or so, then kind of break yourself in to it. Otherwise your knees and body could get very sore.

Unable to Assemble
Well, I would review the comfort of the chair, but I can't get it put together. None of the "long screws" to attach the knee support cushion are actually long enough to attach the piece. Either that or the threaded sleeves embedded in the base of the cushion were sunk in too far. One way or another, I can't get the knee cushion to attach to the frame. Even removing the lock washer and the flat washer doesn't give me enough length for it to work. I'm emailing their "parts" email now. We'll see what they have to say. I'm kinda bummed at this point though, I was looking forward to starting using the chair tomorrow.--------------------------------Edited: I had the bottom piece (the part the knee pad attaches to) upside down. Since I started with the first step wrong, it was my error. However, now that I've got it assembled correctly (they really should mark the top and bottom of this piece because it could go either way), I've been using it for 2 days.I'm 4'11", about 120 lbs. My legs are too short for my toes to rest on the floor, even without the casters (which is not an issue for me, my feet never hit the floor in any chair). I left the casters off because my office is carpeted. The first day I used it, I had to swap back and forth between it and another chair. I've been using it all day today. I have not noticed a difference in how my back feels at this point, but it's very comfortable. It certainly isn't making anything worse. I enjoy that my feet aren't asleep after an hour of work from keeping them tucked under me or dangling off the edge of a regular chair, cutting off my circulation. If you wear shorts or skirts, the fabric can be a little rough on the skin, just because of the texture. I will edit this review again when/if I have any noticeable difference in how my back feels.

Some drawbacks, but overall a smart purchase.
I got this chair almost three weeks ago. This chair was easy to assemble, and I can sit in it comfortably as a 5 foot, 4.5 inch individual. My boyfriend is maybe a half inch to one inch shorter than me, with shorter legs specifically. He cannot sit in it comfortably, as his knees don't really reach the cushion as intended. Just to give others an idea of the fit. I purchased it for myself, so I'm happy in this regard.I'm a little heavier at the moment, just 36lbs. less than the max weight recommended for this chair according to the attached tag. For my weight the chair is still pretty comfortable, even for long periods of sitting - I just had an entire week's vacation and I spent a lot of my time in this chair. The less you weigh, I imagine the more comfortable this chair will be.My only complaint is that there should be an optional cover for the memory foam that is less fragile. I have a cat that is obsessed with sleeping in my chair. But only after catching her on this chair 2 times (first day of ownership), the surface of the chair has loose threading, what I'd refer to as "hairs". The cat didn't knead the chair, she only got a claw stuck in the material a few times. It would be cool to see custom fabric covers made for the cushions on this chair. I might make my own covers to hide unsightly threading(shown in photo, after I trimmed the longer hairs off to prevent further pulling).Luckily, the chair is short enough that I can slide it under my desk when I'm not using it, preventing my cat from going on.It's a kneeling chair. I think in general, kneeling chairs are a great idea. This is a really nice price for what you get. I'm sure that if you're concerned with any of the aforementioned issues, you might be able to invest in a slightly better quality chair, but as you can see, I was able to work around most issues. We'll see how it holds out for the long-term!

very comfortable but not durable
I bought this chair for my office about 6 months ago. I'm impressed by how comfortable it is and it was easy for me to adjust to the new sitting position. I didn't realize that the height and angle of the seat adjusts until I let a friend borrow it for awhile. It's not very obvious and I don't recall adjustments mentioned in the instructions.I use the chair at work on a carpet. About 4 months after I bought it one of the back wheels came off. The bolt just stripped and will no longer fit into the socket. That is my only complaint. I have to be careful when rolling around as to not knock it off.

Padding collapses to nothing in 2 months.
Other reviews about poor padding are true. Foam padding softens and provides zero comfort after 2 months. Very uncomfortable after that. Would not recommend for people over 5'9" or weight over 120 lbs.Frame looks good and is strong enough for 200 lbs, padding is not. I now have to spend $100+ to buy new quality foam and have it installed by an upholsterer.Easy to assemble.

Seat isn't angled. Comfortable tho.
I received my chair yesterday. It was quick and easy to assemble. My only difficulty was snapping the castors into the base. Some people complained about long screws in the knee pads. Ensure that you use the inch thick washers that are provided and you won't have a problem. My research indicates that a 25 degree angle in the seat is ideal, but difficult to find. The pics on this chair look like the seat is angled, but my seat is not! It's really comfortable, but I've never say in a properly angled kneel chair so...? There is lots of padding and I do like being able to rotate. I find it slightly awkward to sit on, but really easy to stand up.Overall, I'm happy with this chair.

I love this chair!
I bought this chair to help with my posture; I have scoliosis and had developed a tendency to slouch into my curve. These chairs don't make slouching impossible, just a LOT more difficult. Being under 5 foot 4 in, I worried about fit. Happily, the chair adjusts to just the right height for my desk and I fit in it quite comfortably. I've read that some people have issues with sliding forward and I noticed that sometimes I did too. Then I realized that I needed to learn how to sit properly (I was leaning forward). Now with my butt taking the weight, I don't slide and the chair is great!NOTE: I've found that changing how I sit has me working muscles not previously worked to this extent, thus causing discomfort. I consider it short term pain, for long term gain. As the days go by, the supporting muscles are getting stronger and that is exactly what I wanted.
