STEM Toys for Ages 8-13 Boys, Solar Science Kits for Kids Crafts Gifts 8-12

My son loves this, we sit together and build a new kit each week. I know it says for kids 8+, but this is excellent for younger kids too! The pieces can be a little tricky for small hands to connect together, but it's good tactile learning and an opportunity for them to have the joy and pride of building a working machine themselves. The instructions are very well done, we go through them together and he takes the lead in finding what changes in each picture, what part is involved, and where it needs to go to make progress. Watching his confidence grow in both building with his hands and also communicating what he understands and what he thinks should be done next is very rewarding. The whole kit is a fantastic price, after a couple months the kits have held up great with nothing breaking despite regular play and work exactly as they should and the first set of batteries are still lasting. I especially love the airplane, we have it on a window in the sunshine and any time of the day it's just happily spinning the propeller.

Bought this kit for my son’s elementary end of the school year project. Instructions are easy to understand and follow. I definitely had a great time doing this kit with him and the end result is priceless.

My grandkids and I had a great time assembling these kits. Overall, everything was good. There were some pieces where the thin wooden parts were a bit fragile and broke because enough care was not made during assembly. These pieces were noted in the instructions. Extra spare pieces were provided so that was a nice touch. The listing said, "for Boys." I have to tell you my granddaughter was thrilled to have her own kit.

I bought this as a very early Christmas present for my son. So he has not got to play with it yet. But I did open the box and it seems like everything is in there. It is well worth the price looks to be extremely fun and age appropriate for my 11 year old. It doesn’t look like it’s made out of cheap material. It seems to be pretty well made and doesn’t look to be too difficult for older kids. I think this is a great Christmas gift.

My son had a lot of fun building the solar car. The instructions were easy to follow, and it kept him engaged while teaching basic engineering and science concepts. Seeing the car run on solar power was really exciting. Great educational gift for kids who love to build and learn!

This little set defied my expectations! Our little grandson is only 4, but loves anything with wheels and motors, propellers and electrical. This set has all four. We, of course, because of strength and dexterity had to put most of each vehicle together, but he could hand us the next piece because of the picture directions and could attach red wires to red and black wires to black and attach some of the wheels and axles so he was completely absorbed and helpful in the building. To attach some of the wheels and one of the propellers we had to push the parts together on our granite countertop because of the snugness of the fit but as adults that wasn’t a problem. Even though the toys are made from a sort of light balsa wood they are sturdy and work extremely well. I highly recommend this little STEM set and will look for more from this company.

Excelente mi hija de 12 años disfruto armarlos, para el carro q usa una hélice no rodaba muy bien, pero resolvimos ampliando el hueco por donde pasa el tuvo de las ruedas eso ayuda a q funcione perfecto vienen un poco cerrado y crea resistencia. El d uso solar es fantástico
