Importer520 Premium VGA/SVGA/XGA/SXGA/UXGA HD15 Monitor Projector Cable with 3.5mm Audio - 15 ft. Laptop/PC to TV

This thing is pretty great. But it does have some flaws which are probably specific to PCs similar to mine.1. The aux cable (which sprouts from both ends) is about 24 inches long. My laptop has the VGA port on the left side and the aux port on the right side so I have to stretch it across the keyboard (15 inches). Since I use a wireless keyboard it isn't too bad, but if I wanted to use my laptop's keyboard the cable would be in the way. Yes, I could put the cable underneath the laptop, but then it would be at increased risk of breaking or breaking my headset jack. This stretching has also caused a noticeable bend on the cable because of the angle it's at when plugged in.2. I bought this 2 months ago and the end of the aux cable (which goes into the headset jack) has cracked. It's not visible besides a slight curve when looking closely, but when it cracked it kind of sounded like snapping a pencil in two - which can't be good. Nevertheless, it still works and I'm content.

My laptop didn't come with an hdmi port for whatever reason and this is the cheapest solution for streaming and using my tv as my monitor. If I relied on wifi I would be forced to wait all day for buffering. With this, there is no lag unless it's your actual computer, nice loud audio, I only have one problem with it, on higher resolutions it says that it is not compatible. I've had to unplug it from my laptop, change the resolution to a lower quality and plug it back in. You will have to unplug it, it won't automatically readjust itself to the setting change.

Pros: Plenty of length. If you have a TV of any size, don't discount the length you'll need. Video quality is excellent. Watched a game on ESPN3 from using my laptop to push the game to my 46" LCD. Looked as good or maybe even slightly better than standard definition from my satellite (obviously not as good as high def).Cons: Length of audio cord only about 18" or so on each end. Wouldn't to the input on my home theater, so I had to improvise. Good that it's there, but consider the distance you need.Would definitely buy another if I need one. Very satisfied.

the cable works fine and is reasonable priced!!! the only trouble with it is the3.5 mm audio cable that comes with it was not long enough at one end...I used itto connect it from my lap top computer to the t.v. and the connectors on the t.v.were right next to each other....but the other end connects to the side of mylaptop and the audio plugs into the front on the computer and the audio part wasnot long enough to fit....I could not tell by the picture how long it was fromother cable...so I had to order another 3.5 mm cable to extend it 2" so it wouldfit.

I bought this to connect a desktop to an HDTV. I initially wanted just an audio cable, but decided to get the bundle since it was about the same cost as an equivalent length audio cable.After installing, I turned the computer on, then turned the TV several minutes later, after the computer had fully booted. I discovered that the image was letterboxed at 1024x768. Assuming it was a software issue, I set about messing with my video drivers. This lead to several hours of frustration and fighting with figuring out how to up the resolution. I noticed that while my computer was booting or the video driver was changing resolution, I'd get loud clicks and pops coming through my HDTV's speakers. All told, I spent about 5 hours trying to fix what I thought was a software issue. Once, I did get the image to come through at 1920x1080, but when I rebooted, I got a "Not Supported" message on my HDTV. I had to boot into VGA mode (akin to safe mode) several times and reset the resolution as some changes would just remove my ability to view the screen at all.Finally, I switched back to my old cable, and without a hassle my TV jumped right into the proper aspect ratio. I tested this back and forth, between my existing cable and this cable, and can say conclusively that this cable was the cause of the issue.I'm returning it ASAP. The cable does not perform as advertised, and is so poorly made that video signals were causing clicks and pops to come through my TV's speakers.For lower resolutions or shorter cables, it may work just fine, but for my purposes, this thing is a dud.

The cable is very easy to use. I just connected it directly to my TV and adjust the settings on my TV and it works very well. The price is also good. The only complaint I have is that the line between the Video input and the audio input is too short. My HP laptop has video and audio input on the same side so it works. But my IBM laptop has video input on one side and the audio input on the other side unfortunately the line is too short. In other words, it can't be used on my IBM laptop!!

I was a little hesitant by looking at the price. Did not know whether something which costs 5-6 times less than a similar product would be of good quality. But when it arrived, I was really surprised with the way it worked when I connected my old laptop to my new HDTV. The picture quality and sound is superb and the extra long length means I can sit comfortably on my sofa and use the laptop from there. Superb product.

the cable was exactly what I needed. I didn't have any trouble hooking it up to my laptop and TV like other reviewers regarding audio length. I have a TV Bravio and Sony VGN CS290 laptop and the audio and monitor outlets on both units were next to each other. The length was just right for me, enabling me to sit on the sofa and watch on the TV monitor.
