Apple EarPods Headphones with 3.5mm Plug, Wired Ear Buds with Built-in Remote to Control Music, Phone Calls, and Volume

As a lifelong Windows/Android guy, the Apple Earpods are my all-time favorite earbud. They sound fantastic when compared against other options at their price bracket. I find them quite comfortable, and their design results in pretty cromulent bass for their size. The packaging for these has been changed since their original release over a decade ago. The first versions of these came in a plastic case, which was great for portability as it gave you a safe way to keep them in your pocket while minimizing the risk of damage. These are now packaged in a paperboard box that is clearly meant to be thrown away once you remove the earbuds. While this move makes sense from a sustainability and production cost standpoint, it's an unfortunate one for the user. The old packaging being able to double as a case was a fantastic value add. The wires are a bit thin, but they seem to hold up well to abuse. I have a bad habit of playing with the wire while I listen to music and so far I have not managed to kill these after a couple years of this habit. The thinness makes them easy to fit into a pocket and they have held up well, so perhaps the thinness isn't a big deal from a durability standpoint. These are acoustically quite similar to the original model of Airpods. Due to their ability to play lossless audio, these *technically* are capable of slightly higher sound quality than Airpods, but a casual listener in a noisy environment likely won't know the difference - if you have used Airpods and like them, these are basically the same except with no dependence on bluetooth or a battery and, in my opinion, slightly more comfortable due to their thinner stems that don't need to accommodate batteries and bluetooth radios. I'm not an Apple guy, but I keep coming back to these. I've used generic earbuds that try to clone the design, I've used Pixel Buds, I've used Galaxy Buds, but these are still my favorite and at $20 I've yet to find a better value for the money

Perfect Surround Sound!!! And, I can really hear base sounds with these earbuds. They arrived perfectly packaged in a box about the size of a ring or jewelry box. They took a while getting to me, but you know the saying:"Good things come to those who wait!" I would order again if I have to, and I definitely would recommend ordering these earbuds from this seller!

These are THE headphones/earbuds, and have been since day one! They sound fantastic and well-balanced. They're durable, long-lasting, affordable, and there is NO BATTERY about which to worry! I'm one of those people who can't make the switch to Bluetooth streaming, because the Bluetooth model simply doesn't fit my lifestyle. For multiple reasons, it just doesn't, and no amount of features could make it work for me, which is largely due to my lifestyle. One of the reasons that I'm so adamant about my wired earbuds is because I'm an ultra marathon runner and a long-distance cyclist. It is not an uncommon thing for me to go and spend all day long on a trail run, hike, or multi-day cycling excursion. When I'm out for very long intervals in a shot, for example, I need something that I know will just continue to work without interruption. And since mobile phone service isn't always available, I depend on lots of downloaded music as well. I'll even just take my iPod in lieu of my phone sometimes, since it's much lighter and fulfils its purpose of lasting absurdly long on a single charge and plays exclusively music that I enjoy and have deliberately decided to load. Bluetooth streaming might be all the rage, but when the going gets tough, and it's true reliability that you need, these EarPods have come through for me for essentially a decade. Weather doesn't affect battery life or performance, I don't have to worry about any signal breaking up (which has happened to me numerous times with Bluetooth), I can make and take phone calls all day long, and perhaps one of the most important things: I can plug these into any device for immediate listening--no pairing or paired device limits, no menus or device discovery; just plug and play in an instant! I'll give you a guess as to how many times I've been without music on an endurance run or day-long bicycle ride because the battery died in my wired headphones--a big, resounding, glorious ZERO. There is a tremendous freedom in that; a liberation in knowing that you'll never be without earbuds no matter what. These just continue to go without interruption, and they sound GREAT. I'm almost chuckling at how I find myself having to explain why a pair of affordable wired earbuds works so well for my lifestyle and could never be replaced, but since wireless devices have permeated essentially every avenue of connectivity, sometimes it's nice to remind ourselves that we've more or less had the simplest solution all along. These earbuds are just SO GOOD, and they deserve to be commended for their strengths!

Very clearly, tons of customers who ordered Apple Earpods have received dupes. After some research I ordered my pair from the seller Adorama last year, and it seems I made the right choice. I'm ordering my second pair today. My previous Earpods survived about 12 months of constant use, lasting through catastrophic events like severe cord-bending, getting caught on door handles and popping out of the audio jack, my laptop falling off of a countertop and ripping the Earpods out of my ears, etc. Sound quality did degrade after each event, of course, but I don't believe a cheap knockoff would continue to function under such conditions. Final straw was a second laptop fall, directly onto the audio jack, severing the wires. Ah well. As for audio quality, they're ok -- Totally serviceable. These Earpods can produce some extra bass (as in, any bass at all) while other similar-price in-ear phones just don't bother. Treble gets tinny for my taste, but an EQ handles it without muddying things up too much. You'll want a small amp for home use; My ancient FiiO E6 works well with most soundcards and equipment I throw at it, present company included. Crucially, these Earpods won't reproduce minute audio discrepancies very well, and therefore won't reproduce important subtleties either. When my previous pair broke, I fished to a budget-price pair of closed-ear headphones out of my closet, and rediscovered a world of sound. However, half the stuff I liked became unpalatable with that extra dimension added in. You take the good with the bad. The Earpods are extremely comfortable, especially without a cover. I often would forget I had them on, or I'd reach for the cord and realize I wasn't wearing them. Cleaning, on the other hand, requires special tools. Earwax does infiltrate the wire mesh eventually, so you'll need to crack the case open every once in awhile to maintain sound fidelity. Build quality's excellent, though the volume control button flops around a lot even during a normal walk, which introduces wear and tear on the surrounding wires. In my experience, these buttons break pretty quick, but they're just a convenience anyway. Overall, these Earpods are durable, dependable audio equipment, whether they're real or not. I hope my second pair works as well as the first. 4/5 stars.

I have been using Apple headphones with my MacBook Pro for six years now and I am very familiar with the look and feel of the wires and the way that Apple headphones sound. I am in the tech field and would consider myself to be a expert at all things Apple. I have a large family and converted us all to Apple about six years ago and that includes just about everything that Apple has to offer for all of us. I purchased these headphones because of the price without even reading the reviews. I went back to see when my delivery date was and that is when I read these reviews. So many people saying that these were knockoffs really had me concerned that I was going to have to go through the hassle of returning these. I can tell you with 110% certainty that what I got was definitely an original Apple product. I’ve bought so many of these headphones over the years because I fall asleep with them nightly and break them by ripping them out of my Mac in ways they aren’t supposed to bend. Apple headphones happen to fit my ear the best and have great sound quality and that’s why I use them. The sound on these were perfect and the volume adjuster worked perfectly. For about a third of the price from Best Buy these were a steal. 10 thumbs up 👍
