Great quality! And a lot of bass
I paired this with a 2000 watt amp and custom built a box from a design I found for this. Ported box tuned for 32hz. Everyone is impressed

A budget bassheads dream!
So i bought this subwoofer on a budget. I didnt expect much from it only because of the low cost. I have a custom built ported box tuned to 37hz. I paired this with my pioneer GM-D8701 monoblock amplifier. There was alot of confusion in the description for this subwoofer on amazons listing. But let me tell you what you actually recieve. When ordered you will get the sub with the following basic specs:Dual 4 ohm voice coils2.5 inch voice coils125 oz magnet500watt rms rated 1000watts peak. This subwoofer on a budget absolutely bangs hard on 500 watts. Im running it in the 2 ohm configuration and it has slammed hard before it has even broken in. There is no smell during this breakin period and i think i found the perfect match for my setup. Im only two days into using this sub and it definitely has surpassed what i thought it would be capable of in the box that i built for a completely different sub. The bass hits lows flawlessly until about 36hz. And drum bass? Thumps hard. This sub by itself without another sub is shaking my truck pretty nicely and has decent tonal quality. Not great but decent. But the performance of how it hits for me outweighs the lack of perfect tonal quality. This is a beast of a subwoofer for the money and really is a huge bargin. Mad props to American bass for putting this out for the little guys on a budget.Update:Has been a week since installing this sub and tried babying it through the breakin period. But i couldnt control myself and started cranking this thing to the max. This sub hasnt failed me yet! A true solid hard hitting, low rumbling, growling bass that just wont quit. Solid purchase for budget minded people. This is an spl sub hands down. And while i am maxing out at 570 watts....this sub just sucks it up and slams it out. Truely impressed with this beast of a sub!Update 3/3/20:Sub is fully broken in. Bass is ridiculous. Sound quality is still average however....it is crazy deep, crazy loud, and shows no signs of stopping. As this will be my last update. I will part with these final words. Worth the investment to anyone!

I did not care because it slams pretty hard. I wired it down to 2 ohms ...
This sub is a beast and I could tell even before I got it out of the box (it weighs 36 pounds). Once I got it out of the box I realized that it is not the same sub as in the picture. It is the newer version with a black basket and direct 8 gauge leads. I did not care because it slams pretty hard. I wired it down to 2 ohms and powered it with a American Bass PH4000d which does 1000 watts rms at 2 ohms. I built a 2.5 cubic foot box tuned to 32hz and this thing gets low! It shakes everything in my car. If I put stuff on the dash it just jumps around about 1'' in the air. I had to put 4 layers of sound deadening on the roof of my truck to get rid of the sheet metal shaking sound (I used Noico Black 80 mil which worked very well). I got pulled over by a cop one time while I was just driving down the street and he said he could hear me loud and clear in his vehicle from around a corner a block away. I don't try to piss people off because that gives car audio people a bad reputation, but I felt a sense of accomplishment since I only have one 12'' woofer. When my friends ride in my truck they turn it down because they say its just too loud. My family says they can hear me from a mile away as I am coming up my road from the highway. When my sister is surfing and I come to pick her up instead of just honking, I just turn up my system and she gets out of the water. She says the bass from my speaker is a lot more distinct and deep that other peoples sounds. I know I am just rambling on about random things here but that is because I am very pleased with how this sub has performed for me. Just buy it because for one 12'' sub, you will not be disappointed.- Patrick Orr

Concert quality
I am addicted to the xfl speakers. I've had several sets of these along with many others and I just keep coming back to these. For a budget build these are definitely the way to go.

Great bang for your buck!
I've owned 2 pairs of these 12s and I'm very happy with them. Great subs with a great price. Only issue I've had was some screws came out of the spider but that was after 3 years of abuse. Get a box built to specs and you can get clean deep bass.

WOW
I had a Bic F12 that had a blown driver, after researching parameters of various subs, this driver looked like it would work pretty well in the F12 enclosure, and yeah, that's putting it mildly, it hits notes that the original driver could have never hoped to have hit, and it's a far more impactful driver as well, It seriously turns the F12 into an incredible LFE movie subwoofer that can seriously shake the house....That said, it's not a perfect replacement, the outer diameter of the basket is slightly too large for the recessed routed hole the original driver sits in, I used some wood glue and an MDF ring that I had cnc'd to make it a flush mount driver and some gasking tape, and the results are stagering.
