I bought this knife set for our new home. We have used them a few times and they are wonderful. Easy to grip handle and the blades slide through meat with ease. I would highly recommend.

My previous steak knives had serrated edges and after 20 years or so I found myself sawing through even the tenderest filet and, of course, they could not be sharpened. These have plain edges that can be sharpened when ever needed. They arrived quite sharp and I haven't had them long enough to see how long they will hold an edge. Curiously, they say not to use them on earthenware, glass or porcelain surfaces which rules out pretty much much every dinner plate in existence. I don't eat steak on paper plates so will just have to ignore that advice.I find the pistol grip handles to be quite comfortable to hold and the blade size appropriate for steaks and chops. I had bought a more expensive set with 5" blades but they were just too big.My only complaint about these so far is some of the handles have small flaws in the finish. They are minor and hard to photograph because of the reflective nature. You may be able to see a small divot right in the center of the bright streak in the attached picture. Given the price, these are minor enough I won't be sending them back but if you want something with a flawless finish look elsewhere. I took one star off for the finish.

I bought this knife set to accent my table settings during the holidays. They are very unique, sturdy, and sharp. There are minor flaws, but I think it gives it character. It has a nice weight to it, and I love the all-metal design. It came in a small box, which means it can be given as a gift. It is definitely worth it! I highly recommend.

The UMOGI Steak knives have a great sharp blade that is not serrated (and I love that!) and it was very well protected in the packaging. The look is as advertised: shiny, simple, yet elevated. It goes really well with a casual or formal look of the silverware you already have. Being dishwasher safe it is a plus +
