Works: tested with XPS 13 and MacBookPro via DisplayPort only.
Tested and working with a couple of Dell monitors (27" and 24") using DisplayPort connection and miniDP-DP cable using both my XPS-13 (ubuntu 16.04.02) and my coworkers usb-c MacBookPro. Pushed full resolution for the 27" -- QHD 2560 x 1440 at 60 Hz.I don't have a 4K display to see if this can push [email protected] expected:* works great with a miniDP-DP cable.* does not work with Thunderbolt displays -- one needs a full thunderbolt 2-3 adapter to work with the Apple Thunderbolt display.* does not work with miniDP-to-DVId adapter.I'm still looking for a thunderbolt adapter to use with the Apple 27" Thunderbolt display I have at work.

Does not connect Apple LED Cinema Display (minDP) to MacBook PRO 2016 (USB-C)
Could not connect my LED Cinema Displays to my new MacBook PRO 2016 with these connectors. First had trouble fitting the miniDP cable into the adapter because it's not an easy fit. When finally overcame my fear of ruining either cable and adapter, my mac could not detect the monitor. I read one review that said the vendor contacted the buyer with update instructions, I've had no such luck yet. This should be plug and play, or instructions should be in the package, otherwise not worth the hassle.

Will not adapt apple display port adapters to the new UCB c port to the mini display port on the previous MacBookPro line.
Will not adapt apple display port adapters to the new UCB c port. The port on the previous generation of Mac with retina display is a Thunderbolt port, even though it looks like a mini display port. This product will not work with this thunderbolt port. This is not the fault of the manufacturer, who tries to warn the customer of this. I am writing this review so others will not waste $20 on a display port adapter that will not work with their old 2013 thunderbolt display adapters that look like mini display port adapters. But it does allow Apple to sell lots of adapters.

Dangerous piece of junk
Do not buy any of their products - pure garbage. I plugged my mini display port into the Weini cable and it did not work. As I was holding the aluminum enclosure in my left hand and unplugging my mini display port with my right hand the entire razor sharp circuit board came out of the enclosure and cut my right thumb severely. To add insult to injury, as I was cleaning my blood off the Weini product the other end came off as well. Probably the lowest quality product I have ever seen.

Works with Dual-link DVI 2560x1440 display via the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter
I have a 27" cheap but good Korean IPS display, a Yamakasi Catleap Dual-Link DVI monitor.I used this adapter in combination with my outrageously expensive Apple Mini DisplayPort to DUal-Link DVI Adapter cable to connect this monitor via Thunderbolt 3 / Type C USB to my new iMac 5k.This worked when the nearly identical ITD ITANDA 4K Thunderbolt 3 to Mini DP Adapter didn't. (Would connect, then corrupt the image, then go black after a few mins).

Didn't Work
Did not work. I have a new MacBookPro and am trying to hook up to my apple monitor. The apple monitor has a Mini Display port, but the computer doesn't show its even connected to anything at all. I've tried looking for instructions on apple and can't find any firmware updates either. Very sad I waited so long for this to arrive for it not to work. :(

I ended up buying the $50 version from Apple and it works great.
I think it's unfair to mark this as 1 star. This item looked to be of good quality, but just did not work for me. Turns out there is a difference between "display port" and "Thunderbolt 2". I have a late 2013 27 inch iMac and wanted to use it as second screen for my new 2016 13inch Mac Book Pro with Thunderbird 3 ports. I ended up buying the $50 version from Apple and it works great.

Inoperable on 2017 MBP and Dell 2515H Monitor
Unfortunately, this did not work with my Mid-2017 Apple MacBook Pro 15" and a Dell 2515H monitor via DisplayPort. I purchased two: one via work and one for home. I attempted to get both adapters to work on 4 different Dell 2515H monitors with the same MBP to no avail. The firmware upgrade as mentioned by another commenter is no longer available from the manufacturer apparently. They did offer to send me another adapter for free, but the code was expired. However, since I had tried two different adapters from them, it probably wasn't going to work anyway. Your mileage may vary.
