NutraMedix Stevia is an extract from the leaves of Stevia rebaudiana which has around 300 times the sweetness of sugar. NutraMedix stevia does not leave the bitter after taste that many other forms have. Stevia does not cause the release of insulin and so can be used by diabetics or people wanted to lose weight, or just reduce their sugar intake. It may be used in tea, coffee and recipes in place of sugar. Four drops of Stevia is equivalent to one teaspoon of sugar.

Lyme Disease
I ordered this for my husband after reading in a health newsletter that I subscribe to that this particular stevia is helpful to the activation of antibiotics used in fighting Lyme disease. My husband says it helps and asked me to continue reordering it.

This did take some time to clear customs, but ...
This did take some time to clear customs, but worth the wait. Used it in conjunction with a long term antibiotic to help get rid of Long Term Lyme disease. . bam! Finally gone!! Studies show it helps in aiding antibiotics in killing the Lyme bacteria. . 6 weeks out and symptoms still gone!

Unique (potential) benefit of this product against lyme disease
Disclosure - I have not used it yet - but recently found to be the most effective stevia against active and persistent lyme disease in laboratory studies, stevia is effective against other bacterial pathogens, and also has both anti-diabetic and anti-hypertensive properties. Truvia was not found effective, SweetLeaf was 75% effective - this product (best in class) was 94% effective in single but excellent European laboratory study listed below.Theophilus PA1, Victoria MJ1, Socarras KM1, Filush KR1, Gupta K1, Luecke DF1, Sapi E1, Effectiveness of Stevia Rebaudiana Whole Leaf Extract Against the Various Morphological Forms of Borrelia Burgdorferi in Vitro - Eur J Microbiol Immunol (Bp). 2015 Nov 12;5(4):268-80.Abstract ---Lyme disease is a tick-borne multisystemic disease caused by Borrelia burgdorferi. Administering antibiotics is the primary treatment for this disease; however, relapse often occurs when antibiotic treatment is discontinued. The reason for relapse remains unknown, but recent studies suggested the possibilities of the presence of antibiotic resistant Borrelia persister cells and biofilms. In this study, we evaluated the effectiveness of whole leaf Stevia extract against B. burgdorferi spirochetes, persisters, and biofilm forms in vitro. The susceptibility of the different forms was evaluated by various quantitative techniques in addition to different microscopy methods. The effectiveness of Stevia was compared to doxycycline, cefoperazone, daptomycin, and their combinations. Our results demonstrated that Stevia had significant effect in eliminating B. burgdorferi spirochetes and persisters. Subculture experiments with Stevia and antibiotics treated cells were established for 7 and 14 days yielding, no and 10% viable cells, respectively compared to the above-mentioned antibiotics and antibiotic combination. When Stevia and the three antibiotics were tested against attached biofilms, Stevia significantly reduced B. burgdorferi forms. Results from this study suggest that a natural product such as Stevia leaf extract could be considered as an effective agent against B. burgdorferi.

Out of stock, go to Nutramedix
I've been using it for treatment of chronic Lyme with Banderol and Cat's Claw (among other herbs) So far so good, but it's only been a few weeks, and I plan to test it for 3 months. This was the only brand that was effective in the study mentioned by another reviewer. (Eva Sapi, University of New Haven.) It is much more expensive here on Amazon than directly from the manufacturer and they have free shipping, so go there before they run out!

Tastes good and is supposedly good for Lyme
This is delicious in lemon water or hot herbal teas. It doesn't have a super chemical taste like some stevias do. I also have Lyme disease, and this was recommended by my LLMD.
