Locking knives are a no-no in many travel destinations, so this knife is great. I so often find the knives in a restaurant are too dull to cut much other than warm butter, so my pocket knife usually does the job. And I often end up getting fruits at farmer's markets to put in the hotel too, where a knife can come in handy.Nice thing on this knife is that the steel is about as rust-proof as possible, so I don't have to baby it. Serrated edge will also do anything I've needed to in the past. And it came very sharp out of the box.I could wish the handle was dark or black. The yellow will draw attention I may not want. So I may dies the scales.Was a version of the UK penknife some years ago that was a drop point, rather than the current leaf shape. I would the drop point blade more useful. Alas, they don't seem to make one in this steel. If it annoys me enough, I may grind the back down to match my older drop point.Anyway, is a special purpose knife for me, but should fit the travel roll just fine
