He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.

Nurse approved
This is my one and only shoe brand. I work long hours, and this style has the most comfort and cushion than any other asics. I've had all of the Kinsei's since 4, and a few had been amazing and other less great. This one ranks an 8/10 on my scale. Since I can tell were the company didn't exactly consider wear and tear for the average daily wearer around the ankles. Cushion it's definitely a 10/10. Will I continue to buy asics? Absolutely. This product is nurse approved.

Great shoes for under pronators
I have been wearing these to work out for a few months now. It has cushion. Arch support is due to the cushion of the shoes, not necessary "arch support". The shoes are very soft to run in, like you're on pillows. That aspect of it is great. The part that I didn't like is that when you walk, somehow it feels different. It's not an amazing feeling. These shoes were built for the under pronators. They make you stand straighter, which is good. It provides more balance and stability. The colors are bright like the pictures. I couldn't wear them to work because I don't really like to walk in them.

Toe box too narrow
I am so bummed. After a lot of research and reading reviews, I purchased these to help my supination for running. I bought a full size larger, because I always add an insert. Much to my surprise, the full size larger fit like the size I usually wear. I was going to keep them anyway, even though I couldn't add the insert without it making them too small. Unfortunately, ASICS has changed their toe box width. These were much too narrow and even just walking around on carpet, they rubbed on my big toes. LOVED the heel padding and fit. If the toe box was the "normal" for ASICS, I would give these five stars.Bottom line, if you have wide feet, these probably won't work for you.

Best Tennis Shoe Ever.
This shoe is awesome. feels like I'm walking on a cloud, most comfortable and best supporting tennis shoe I've ever had. I'm hooked and will purchase these all the time. I have a high arch and pronate inwards when I walk, causing problems with my knees, quads and ankles. These shoes provide the perfect stability, cushioning and support my feet need.

I Love Them!
I have worn Asics for several years after trying Nike, New Balance, Reebok, etc. I always return to Asics. I also recently tried a pair Mizuno's which did not work for me. I love the Asic's brand. They are comfortable when running and walking. Great arch support for me and I have flat feet. I can wear these all day. I can run for 30-45 minutes and they give great support and comfort. I liked them so much I just purchased a second pair.Just to add I normally wear either a 7.5 or an 8. I ordered an 8 and initially they fit perfectly but after jogging in them for the past 2 weeks there's a little more room in the toe area than I like so I wear thicker socks with them. Should have ordered a 7.5 but still love them.

They got smaller!
VERY disappointed. These were my favorite for teaching my high impact aerobics classes. This version is not the same, the toe box area is smaller and gets very uncomfortable after about 20 minutes into the class, since I wore them I'm now stuck with them. Order a1/2 size up if you've been buying this one for years.

felt bigger after wearing
I use these for running about 20 miles a week and for exercise classes. I loved the fit when I first got these but after wearing these for a month they stretched out somewhat and now feel a little big and a bit sloppy. I normally wear an 8.5-9 in sandals/shoes and got these in a 9. I have a medium width with a slightly narrow ankle. If I were ordering this in the future I would order an 8.5. Overall I am happy with the comfort and cushion and they are still better than the Asic nimbus and kayano styles.

Sore Achilles
Disappointed. I have worn ASICS running shoes for years. Had high hopes for these. I’m usually size 8.5, got 9 based on reviews. The only problem I’m having is with the cuff/Achilles area. It lacks a notched or cut out area so it keeps rubbing and irritating my Achilles. I thought they’d be fine after I broke them in, but I’ve worn them countless times now and it’s not any better. Going to try running shoe insoles to see if that helps.

Asics
I bought these in the fall (2016) and saved them for this summer (2017), within a two week period wearing them walking, my toe poked through the material on the top creating holes. For the price I paid, I would have expected a better performance. I have an old pair of kensei and they are solid so I thought I would get the same results from new ones.......not so much!

They gave me blisters :( I typically purchase the Asics Kayano running shoe and thought I'd try this one as it had such great reviews and such great cushioning, but despite all that, after an 8K run, I had blisters. I can still use them for working out at the gym and other types of classes but I won't be using these for running again. Going forward, I'll just stick with my Kayanos.
