For one or two people - this is the perfect waffle maker.
This Dash waffle maker is small, it makes 4" waffles. But it makes them in less than 2 minutes normally. It is well made. Relatively easy to clean. It is easy to use too. Cook time is 2 minutes or less. Plug it in - pour a little batter - close it and watch the light on top [it will go out when they are done.] It is nonstick but I use a quick oil spray for extra easy lift out. I tried it without the oil and it worked well, no problems, I am just old-school. For one or two people - this is the perfect waffle maker.

Works great so far
I've only had it a few days but have used it several times. So far so good. It heats quickly and cooks well. Simple little machine that does what's expected. Very small footprint so it takes little storage space. These are best for one or two people or for snacks as the size is so small (4" cooking surface) and it only cooks one item at a time, but it does cook each item quickly. I have the white one. There is some misinformation out there on how these work. The light is only to indicate whether the unit is currently heating or not; it's not meant to tell you if your food is done. It comes on when plugged in and turns off when it gets up to temperature, indicating it is ready to use. Then it cycles on and off as needed to maintain the correct temperature. You need to time your food or check on it to know when it's done; don't try to go by the light. The Banana Bread Waffles in the included booklet are very good, but I added pecan pieces, vanilla extract, and some cinnamon. Very easy and moist banana nut bread in waffle form.

Easy to use
I eat keto and LOVE my “Chaffee” maker! Super easy to clean, portable and small so I don’t have to drag out the big iron for my single serve item. It’s super cute and happy they had it in my favorite color. Most of all it’s easy to use! I’m buying these for college student gifts!

Tiny but mighty—perfect snack maker!
This mini waffle maker heats up fast, takes up almost no space, and pumps out crispy, golden mini waffles in just a few minutes. It’s not just for waffles—you can make hash browns, paninis, cookies, and even chaffles. Cleanup is easy thanks to the nonstick plates. Forests of single-serving appliances? No, but for dorms, small kitchens, travel, or fun snacks, it’s brilliant. Just mind the cooking time (manually monitor browning) and avoid overfilling to prevent overflow. Bottom line: A compact, affordable, and versatile gadget—ideal for quick bites. Not suited for batch cooking or precise temperature control.

Works fine
Reading the poor reviews, it just confused me. I could see the problems people were having, but they were incredibly easy to fix. I worked in a kitchen for a long time though, so I don't know. It seems common sense to me. Pros: It's small, the single-serving plate allows you fluffy waffles one or two at a time at a toaster-size convenience. Make a ton, pop them in the freezer, you have yourself a (probably) healthier egg-o waffle ready to pop in the toaster. Waffles turned out fine. Just to be sure, I made a hard batch, a light batch, I attempted to burn them on purpose. I tried pulling them out early (before the light went off). Early, they were (obviously) hard to pull off. If you try to pull them off too soon, they stick. To add, the mix called for oil - I left the oil out. I cooked these dry, I didn't even grease the plate. The batch I burned, worked well too. They were obviously burned, but they came out with no problem. The hard batch I made (very little batter) came out well, the light turned off when it was supposed to, nothing was burned, they were a little hard to pull off because there was so little to peel off. The light batch I made (a lot of batter) made great waffles, airy and fluffy. The only problem is, you overfill the unit (like with anything) and you have spilled. It leeched out the sides and made a mess. That was a user error. Half a cup of unrested batter made about five waffles. This is good when your stretching things out or you need a quick meal or even if you're on a diet and still want to indulge a bit. It was quick to heat up, plug it in and let it burn off the factory smell (The new appliance burning smell). It'll go away in about three minutes or so. It's also a good idea to heat up your plates anyway before you put your mix in. Just makes pulling them out easier. Cons: There's nowhere to really grab except the little flap at the front. And while the pink (mine was pink) metal doesn't get hot there, steam comes from it as you lift it. It's good to be careful when lifting because you technically should pull slowly less you rip the top of your waffle off. Cleaning overspills is a bit annoying. You have to wait for the unit to cool off and then go over it with a damp soft cloth or paper towel. It comes off fine off the griddle, but you have to scrub a little bit everywhere else. Don't buy a blue one. Seeing the light at the top is a pain. Peeling out waffles is a *little* tricky. Because again, you have nowhere to really hold onto. But it's a mini appliance, I mean.. you kind of expect that. Just take a non-abrasive tool like a spatula or a silicone stick and lightly lift it from the cardinal points. Once you do that, it lifts off easily. Be patient with it, go slow. If you can't, don't buy it. This isn't for you.

5 🌟 A great product!
Even better than I expected! This arrived just over 24 hrs after ordering, which happened to be brunch time. I unpacked it and quickly made some perfect mini waffles!! Quick set up, easy to use, fast cooking time, easy clean up. I highly recommend this item. My family of three loved the waffles. I used the 2-3 waffle recipe of Krusteaz Belgian waffle mix,. You only need about 2 tablespoons of batter per waffle. This made 10 mini waffles, each cooked perfectly. There is a small instruction/recipe booklet included, with waffle recipes and some other ideas (quesadillas, cinnamon rolls, etc.) The waffle maker really is “mini” but the cooking surface is pretty much equal to the size of the maker. I expected the cooking surface to be smaller but was pleasantly surprised. The only addition that I would suggest is a beeper to let you know your waffle is ready. (I realize this would probably affect the size). We‘ve owned a full size, flip, Belgian waffle maker for years and the beeper makes multitasking in the kitchen much easier. After using the Dash Mini Waffle Maker once, I realize it will be perfect for tailgating. It’s small, so it won’t take up much space in our tailgate trailer, easy to clean up, and will be great for chicken and waffles or early morning tailgating on days when there is an 12:00 or 3:00 game. I like it so much, I’m ordering more as gifts for family!

Love this little waffle maker.
Used only once, but this worked out great for what I wanted it for. It is small, but since I am working on better eating habits, the portion size is great for one person. It seems to be built well. It is not bulky. The chaffles came out nice and crispy. And it warmed up quickly.

TURNS OFF BY ITSELF WHEN YOUR WAFFLE IS DONE!!!
The two best things about this little waffle maker are its price and the fact that it turns off by itself when your waffle is done. If you are busy around the kitchen, you don’t need to worry about your waffle burning or this machine overheating. The second time I used this machine, I accidentally forgot about the waffle that I was making and when I checked eight minutes later (I was sure that my waffle and this machine were done for), the light was off and my waffle had been cooked to perfection. The recipes included are great as well. The chocolate chips in the chocolate waffle recipe didn’t stick to this waffle maker. I put on a little bit of cooking spray beforehand but the spray did not leave a greasy mess at the end. Definitely worth the $10 price tag. I like to make extra waffles on the weekends so that my kids can have waffles on the weekdays. I just pop my frozen homemade waffles into the toaster like I would with store bought frozen waffles. You will save so much money in the long run and you can add in healthy additions to your waffle mix such as wheat germ, ground flax seeds, and chocolate. It seems that 1 ounce is just perfect for this waffle maker. I used a 1 ounce ladle, but since some of the batter stayed on my ladle, I had to add in a little more, but 1 ounce seems to be the right amount. Clean up is easy as long as you don’t overfill and the batter does not run over. If that happens, allow your machine to cool, turned it upside down, and put a paper towel soaked in a little hot water over the mess. After a few minutes, the batter will wipe off.

Great Product
This Waffle maker is very cute and works well. It is so easy to use and makes great waffle. I like it very much because it is small and save the space, and it only makes one waffle each time, so I can control how many waffles to make according to the numbers I need. You only need to brush the oil to the surface the first time you use it, and you don't need to use oil later on.
