Viper 2BA Tufflex Tips III Soft Tip Dart Points

I have a Dartslive Zero board, and a Gran Board Dash, and my darts are Red Dragon razor edge original (18g barrel). The tips that came with the darts (I believe they are Winmau Triton tips) worked beautifully on both boards out of the gate, and as the Triton's are difficult to find in Canada I ordered these Vipers as a first attempt at a pack of replacement tips.These tips are highly incompatible with both of my boards and bounce out at almost a 100% rate when installed freshly from the package. After some initial frustration i discovered that if i put the tips into the jaws of some large pliers, parallel to the grooves in the pliers, and gently 'crimp' the last 5mm or so of each tip while rotating the tip between squeezes of the pliers handles, that I can get these to work quite effectively in the dartslive board with minimal bounce outs. Unfortunately this means that I need to keep a stash of pre-'modified' tips on hand in case i need to replace one during a game. Not the end of the world, but not ideal for a product that should hopefully just work.After finding even my 'modified' Viper tips quite difficult to remove from the Gran Board, I decided to try a pack of the L-Style Lippoint premium tips and the difference is night and day as far as quality. The lippoints work perfectly out of the pack, stick in straighter, remove from the board easier, and are very durable.Verdict on the Vipers: they will do in a pinch but there are definitely better options out there. If you are purchasing these for a Japanese board, then expect to have to modify them to get them to stick in properly. Perhaps they are a better fit for some of the boards from other manufacturers.

These are more firm and do not bend as easily as the originals that came with my board. The green color makes it easier to spot and remove any broken tips left in the board.

They are very durable tips. One thing I would point out though is make sure your dart board can handle the high quality tips before purchasing a lot of them. I played at this guy's house with a cheaper board and my darts did not stick 95% of the time. It was his board, not the tips.
