I commute daily so I needed an umbrella that is not only lightweight and small enough to fit in my bag, but also high enough quality to withstand fierce winds and torrential downpours. I purchased the Gorilla Grip umbrella, and the first thing I noticed was that the grip was really comfortable, which is important to me since I have a long walk from toy car to to my office. Then came the ultimate test, the first intense windy rainstorm, and man was I impressed. Bye bye to days of fussing with trying to open and close an umbrella while simultaneously getting drenched, one click and boom! this umbrella opens at the speed of light. And now after withstanding a few intense rainstorms, I can confidently attest to the fact that the Gorilla Grip umbrella is made of the high quality materials, making it in my opinion the only brand on the market to buy. I am definitely going to buy another to keep in my car and I will recommend this to all my friends and family.

I am from South Florida and live through dozens of very strong rain storms each year (thunderous torrential downpours). I hate spending a lot on umbrellas because I always either lose them or they break. This is excellent quality, plus a good value too. Opening it is actually fun. One push and POOF it pops open with gusto. You can feel the gorilla strength. And strong it is. We have had some downpours lately and this thing holds true to its brand. Just looking at it you can tell that this thing is sturdy - lots of good quality bones – not the cheap pokey metal ones. I also love that it is lightweight and compact to carry around. And I always thought those carrying cases were a waste of money, but this one is really nice that I actually use it once the umbrella is dry. Gorilla Strong umbrella gets a 5 star.

When I first received the item, a couple of the inner prongs of the umbrella didn't properly fold to the appropriate location. However, it was still functional since I could push it into place.After a couple of years using it maybe a couple of dozen times total, the spring in it failed and the umbrella couldn't stay open or retract. Since I was out at the time, I decided just to trash it. Considering that it was an affordable umbrella, I can't be too upset.

Solidly made umbrella. Not much coverage area, but that is to be expected in an umbrella that fits in your purse. I knocked off one star because it is very hard to close. Still, glad to have made this purchase.

Very Sturdy.  Not flimsy like others I have bought in the past.  Doesn’t get blown around in the wind.  Nice sized canopy so my pants don’t get soaked, but small enough to carry everyday in my bag for when I need it.  Can’t think of anyway to make this thing better.  Pretty darn close to perfect as is.  And a great warranty.  Company seems to stand behind product. I would highly recommend it!

Nice strong spring action in this umbrella. The umbrella seems very well constructed. The internal metal "spider" structure of the umbrella can take lots of accidental bangs against doors and entrances to buildings and still works great.

This is a great little umbrella that feels quality from the handle to the lined umbrella that is sturdy yet light. I am quite pleased with the quality and grip and all about this umbrella. Thank you!

So far, so good. I travel quite a bit and I've had to use this several times. Best quality travel umbrella I've come across so far, despite being a bit on the heavy side. Opens to a surprisingly good size (I'm a big guy). Go for it, road warrior...
