Last flagship phone with replaceable battery

I have had the V20 H910a for about a week. Love it! Its a 2 yr old phone now so the processor is no longer state of the art and the wide angle 2nd back lens is only 8mp but its still a great phone and they are currently being sold at about half orig msrp. Very nice build quality, this is a prev gen flagship phone there aren't many left I suspect. I primarily wanted the phone for its camera/video capabilities and replaceable battery. It also is supposed to have state of the art audio components. Looking at online reviews the 16mp primary camera/lens still gives similar resolution/detail as the currrent 16mp flagship phones but has less vivid punchy quality. I actually prefer the flatter less punchy V20 jpgs. you can always punch them up later in software if you want. One note .. the H910a is an unlocked AT&T branded phone. It comes with no sim card. I tried to to software update for security patches and the phone indicated that it was up to date but I know AT&T has Mar and June 2018 patch levels available. The phone came with Jan 2018 patch level. (purchased from chrome tech). So after about 2hrs talking to AT&T and LG customer service it appears that AT&T requires the phone to be registered with them to get updates. So I went to an AT&T store and got a sim and 30 day prepaid voice plan for $30. The phone updates just fine now and the phone is at the June 2018 patch level. Will the phone continue to update after my 30 day plan expires?.. not sure. AT&T indicated the Oreo update is planned to commence on Aug 13 for those interested. One last niggling thing .. the rear camera lens protrude from the rear cover and seems vulnerable to potential damage. I bought the Ringke case for it and it seems to significantly ease my concerns on this.So all is good.. and by the way did I mention I love this phone?!

A truly PERFECT PHONE - DESTROYED BY CORPORATE GREED! Requires ACTIVE ATT SERVICE to work.

*FALSE ADVERTISING! I even had an active ATT account, and was on "the whitelist."However after replacing SIM & taking to store (not to mention countless hours research) realized the problem.Stock OS is 2016 & since so old, with recent "upgrades" won't connect to mobile service without being updated FIRST.And update REQUIRES ACTIVE ATT ACCOUNT to initiate. So you can see the problem here.Returning for full refund & never EVER going back to AT&T.They're all pretty much the same - one huge, ugly BLOB of corporate monsters in cahoots to screw hard-working people out of what little money we have after taking it in the behind from these power-obsessed psychopaths who now unfortunately rule over us.Hopefully next time we won't fall asleep at the wheel, not waking until after it's too late.As of NOW, buy one of whatever junk phones they're pushing & be grateful you'll be less inclined to be glued to it, and more time with the people who count, during what little time we've got left.

From Stone Age to interstellar travel in one purchase

To say I "upgraded" from an HTC m9, is an understatement. Even though the m9 came out a year and a half earlier, the phones feel a decade apart technology, interface smoothness, and feature-wise. It would be more apt to say "I advanced* my Android experience by a century." I bought the m9 because I enjoyed the m7 so much, but they both seem so vanilla now. I've never been partial to any one Android phone brand. Believe me, I've had most of them - Motorola, LG, Samsung, HTC, and now back around to LG. I think this phone was under marketed because coming on 8 months after the v20's release, this gsm unlocked phone is a DEAL at just under $500.Fav features/strengths - Removable battery, beautiful screen, 2nd screen features, LG runs nougat well, never came close to losing connectivity to *anything* (wifi, cell and data signal, Bluetooth.. all of these were problems with my HTCs), multi tasking apps (LG's Qslide), don't even get me started on the camera green highlight manual focus features and great call quality..Opportunities for LG to improve this phone in future updates - themes and clock widgets look plain or bad. Come on LG. You made a great phone and forgot to polish and detail it. Making me search for 3rd party apps for these things is disappointing. Do better! Also seller got the phone out to me very quickly. Kudos for that. Bad part is they left this pricey item in front of my apartment door. I'll hit the seller on that detail, not the phone review.

Software wasnt up to date!

I had to buy this phone new because I can still use the sim card and sd card and I have access to the battery to change it out and replace for common phone problems. The phone is a good phone. I really have no dislikes except my software wasnt up to date so I couldnt use some of my apps that I was privy to. This phone is from puerto Rico at least my version was. So hopefully it will do a software update in the near future and then I can complety move over my data to that phone, and use it. But the main thing is the LG software was out of date and now I have to wait for the phone to update itself , so I can hopefully utilize some apps and have a better signal as well. Because my signal was lagging and also, I couldnt get my group messages to function not even in the messenger settings. But I believe all of my issues with this phone is from an out of date software because my phone before this which its also an LG v20 was running into this same problem because I refused to software update it. And then I eventually updated the software on my old lgv20 and my problems stopped. But another main reason I had to switch my phone was my camera broke on the back of my phone and now if I tried to take a picture its blurry and can't focus itself. That is all.
