Good, strong lifts
I didn't realize how weak my old lifts had become. I knew they were worn out, but it was a huge difference putting in these new ones. They were easy to install and fit perfectly.

Easy to install
Very easy to install on my 2004 Infiniti FX35 . Would have been faster if the 3 of 4 retainer clips of the plastic facial hadn't broken during disassembly to get to the bracket bolts. Had to purchase new retainer clips. It's been a week since I have replaced with new supports and they work great. As too how long they will last, I have no idea. The factory supports lasted 19 years.

Fit my 2005 Infinity FX35 perfectly!
These fit our 2005 FX35 perfectly! And, they really work well. Took about 25 minutes to take off and replace. The hardest part, like others have said, is putting the covers back on. I got them back on. Not sure if they're perfectly on, but they're on. LOL! I'm really happy with this product. Should have done this a long time ago. I'm really glad I found the ones with brackets included, because the brackets on the existing ones, were installed not to come off very easily or not at all. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is looking for lift support struts for their liftgate.

Brackets required if replacing the OEM struts.
Product is as advertised. Easy to install and appears to be good quality. Time will tell.

They FIT!
I stopped at Autozone for a set of rear hatch supports for a 2005 Infinit FX35 and paid $120 for 2 struts. They didn't work because the factory strut won't unclip from brackets. You have to replace the mounting brackets along with the factory struts. I found these on Amazon for a quarter of the price WITH brackets! The hardest part was putting the Infiniti plastic trim covers back on. The factory brackets easily unscrewed with a phillips screw driver.

They Fit - Brackets are needed for First time Replacement.
Infiniti did not want the owner replacing these. You can tell by how they are installed. LOL.Brackets are required (FOR First Time Replacement), No easy way to remove old Original Lift Support.Once you replace the lift support with the new ones that you just pull a clip and pop lift support on or off. (Original is installed only once - OR USE HAMMER to BANG OFF AT YOUR OWN RISK). Don't use hammer, remove the old bracket and replace it. Even with orig part off car, I could not remove bracket without damaging the old lift support, or cutting it off. (pressure fitted part) From now on - it should be easy to replace without new brackets.(I recommend you try to remove one before purchase to see if you need bracket).CAR: Infiniti 03 FX45I did not replace the plastic covers that hide the mount on the car body top. I did try, but the pins that have to be replaced are a nightmare - Simply not worth the effort or cost. Unless your lucky enough to get these covers off with no damage to brittle plastic. - OR your willing to pull off the cars headliner to get access to the back side of clips.Eh.... Cleaned all the grime - and if you did not know it had covers, you would never notice. Covers are only visible when door is open anyway.
