Works better as a conditioner and protector than it does as a leather cleaner.
I have used this product for years. 3M makes great body shop and auto cleaning products. Been in car business for 15 years and 3M is one of those names in this business you know your gonna get great results. I use this 3M product for after I have deep cleaned the leather. I use it more as a conditioner than cleaner. If you have years of built up dirt in ypur leather seat than this or any other leather cleaner will never be enough. You have to use all purpose cleaner I use mothers. I dillute it either 5-1, 8-1, or 10-1 depending how bad they are with distilled water. After you have cleaned with apc. Then you go over the leather with this. It will condition it very well and keep the leather looking healthy no matter how old. If you wanna be a fanatic like me with your leather. After you apply this 3m leather restorer. Apply protect all to your leather seats. So first all purpose dilluted then 3M leather restorer then protect all. Then you have properly cleaned conditioned and protected your leather. I have been using this process for years and my customers love it.

Odd product that doesn't really promise a lot. "Restorer" ...
Odd product that doesn't really promise a lot. "Restorer" is a very vague word. This product has a lot of chemicals that seem to get into the leather and rejuvenate it with some moisture, softening it to a "restorable" state. I've used it in conjunction with actual leather conditioners because it seems to help open the pores of stubborn, dry leather. Case and point: lower front seats in a car that have begun to turn hard and shrink are moderately soft and relaxed after massaging this in when typical leather cleaning (which typically opens the pores) and conditioning didn't work. It doesn't appear to have any UV protectant in it, and so I've generally chosen to rub in a top coat of 303 Aerospace protectant after treating dry leather with this and Lexol or similar.

I am very happy with the 3M 39040 result
I just acquired a piece of furniture that sat in a Mendocino, CA cabin for 25 years. I am in the course of restoring this post-modern molded plywood chair and ottoman. The coverings are made of vinyl, a bit stiff with a musty smell. I removed the cushion for the molded wood. I carefully sponge washed the vinyl surface with vinegar/water equal parts. I sprinkle baking soda onto the foam & burlap, letting it sit overnight.Yesterday, I received 3M 39040 Leather and Vinyl Restorer, and I was very anxious to use this product. I wanted to condition and bring life back to the vinyl. 3M 39040 Leather and Vinyl Restorer did the job. I am very happy with the 3M 39040 result, the cushions looks rich. Here’s a before and after picture.

... my 2014 VW jetta leather seats and it works great! This is what VW recommends using
I use this on my 2014 VW jetta leather seats and it works great! This is what VW recommends using. I live in the Florida heat and leather dries really quickly here. This is really conditions the leather seats and makes them look brand new like the day I bought my car. An added plus is you can use it on vinyl so it gives the interior of my car a nice shine. The only down side is its a little greasy which I suppose can be expected with any conditioner. So I would recommend using it when you don't plan on using your car right away to give it time to soak into the leather. Other than that its a great product from a trusted brand. This is my second bottle and will purchase again.

Spa cover
Used it to bring a shine back to a spa cover that was covered with pollen.

Good product
I was looking for a product that would condition vinyl and leather together. This does just that. Good coverage. I spray it on my soft rag, then rub evenly on my car dash etc. rather than spraying right on the surface. It keeps the product from going on surfaces I don't want it on and I'm in control when applying. Goes on evenly and protects my leather and vinyl.

Smells nice!
Very pleasant lemony smell, seems to do what it is supposed to do, especially on real leather.
