Fluffy, Nutty, and Healthy - Great Side Dish to Enjoy with Your Meals
The Planet Rice Power Blend with Brown Rice, Tri-Color Quinoa, and Wild Rice is a tasty and healthy side dish to serve with your meals. The blend includes only three ingredients - sprouted brown rice, quinoa, and wild rice. It consists primarily of brown rice but seems well-balanced for what you're getting. To make, simply add 2 cups of the rice blend with 2 3/4 cups of water. You can cook it on the stove, but I used my fuzzy logic rice cooker and it worked fine. It cooked well on both the normal rice setting as well as the quick setting which doesn't include the soaking period. The blend was fluffy and had a pleasant nutty flavor. The two cups made enough rice blend to serve our family of four at least two meals (and we eat rice at every meal!) and it reheated well the next day. The blend doesn't require any presoaking and the grains tasted fresh. Overall, if you're looking for a healthy side dish that includes rice and quinoa, this is a good option to consider. It's easy to cook, tastes fresh, and adds a little more fiber and nutrients to your diet.

great white rice alternative for healthier meal
I cooked this rice blend in a Cuckoo electric rice cooker, and it came out better than I thought it would because I was a bit concerned about rice being hard which I don’t like at all. I like that it has a good amount of fiber and even protein. I like that this rice blend makes me feel like I'm eating healthier (compared to eating white rice) because I just can't give up on rice, haha. With the electric pressure rice cooker, I had no issue making this as soft as I wanted. However, I'm not sure how to cook it in a regular pan (one thing I suggest is to soak it in water overnight to soften them up). While I've been more used to using microwavable instant brown rice lately, this was a great change. I would definitely recommend it if you are like me, who cannot give up on rice but is trying to make the best possible choice.

Nutty and filling
We eat rice at least once a week at our house--usually with some sort of chicken dish or curry over top. I saw this rice and was intrigued, because we also love quinoa and are trying to eat a little more healthy. I tried this recently with curry and it was a hit. The rice is a little more chewy/nutty than regular rice, but I like that--I feel like it is more filling and also liked that this has brown rice, quinoa and wild rice in it--I love that we are getting more vitamins, protein and fiber in it. With winter coming up, this will be great for soups or putting stews or curries over. I saw some people thought it was difficult to cook, but I had no problem--followed the directions on the back of the bag and it cooked up fine and we even reheated it the next day and it was still good. For my family, we loved this, even the kids and if my kids eat it, you know it is good! Definitely would buy this again.

Delicious blend!
I love making rice as a side dish, but don't like to eat a lot of white rice and tend to get bored of brown rice. I love this blend as it has great flavor and a different texture than the typical rice. I like that it has some fiber and some protein and antioxidants. My husband doesn't love quinoa, but he likes it a lot more in a blend like this one. I cook my rice just like the package says and it comes out nice and fluffy every time. I do think the directions should be for a smaller serving size (they instruct to use 2 cups of dry rice instead of the standard 1 cup, which seems like a lot), but I can, of course, figure out the math on my own for a smaller size. Overall, I'm very happy with this blend and will continue to enjoy it as a great side dish or base to many meals!

Jazz up your rice with varied texture and more fiber
As a type 2 diabetic, I have to choose my starches carefully. This brown rice/quinoa/wild rice blend is an improvement over the white rice I usually use. One thing I did when fixing rice that improved the texture of this rice blend is that when it is done, I remove it from the heat and them put an absorbant white tea towel between the top of the pan and the lid. I let it rest for awhile before serving. This allows extra moisture to be absorbed by the grain or the towel and keeps the final product from being sticky. This is a good product and I was pleasantly surprised to get 88 oz--four 22 oz packages--which supplies our family with this rice blend for quite sometime. Recommended.

Awesome tasting blend!
The Planet Rice Power Blend is WONDERFUL! In just 25 minutes I had a pot full of hearty and tasty rice. It was super easy to prepare. The blend includes brown rice, tri-color Quinoa and wild rice. I wanted to keep it simple the first time I cooked with this so I could really taste the blend and not have it drowned under a heavy sauce. I just added a little bouillon powder and garlic while cooking. After it was finished cooking I added some garlic infused olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes and chunks of salmon - simple, healthy and delicious. My family and I absolutely loved this blend. I can't wait to try more creations. ****About me: Integrity is very important to me. Reviews I've posted will be from items I've had direct contact with. These are my honest opinions. I will not post a review for a product I have not had personal contact with.

Nice side dish / Puffs up nice in Instant Pot / Quinoa is odd addition
WHAT: Planet Rice Power Blend - Brown Rice + Tri Color Quinoa + Wild Rice CONCERN: Quinoa cooking time is 1/3 to 1/2 that of Brown and Wild Rice. PREPARATION: I put 2 cups of this into my instant pot with 2 cups of water. Then I pressure cooked it for 16 minutes, followed by a natural pressure release of 10 minutes. RESULTS: The quinoa, as expected, was broken and mushy. The brown rice and wild rice were as expected. While all the little quinoa dots and tails floating in the mix was visually off-putting, they were unnoticeable when I tasted it. Brown rice and wild rice is a little chewier than white rice and they are more flavorful. Many people describe the flavor as "nutty" but that's not exactly it. I'm going to stick with nutty though as it is as close as I can come to describing the flavor. OVERALL: This tastes ok. It would be good with a little sauce and would complement almost anything. I'd prefer it without the quinoa.
