Best dog nail clippers ever!
I've tried several brands of nail clippers with my boys nails and they all broke. These cut like butter and there wasn't enough noise to bother him either. Being able to purchase new blades when this one wears out instead of a new set of clippers is a great bonus.

Resco works on tough nails of BIG dogs.
The Resco clippers were entirely satisfactory...my dogs, not so much. It required lots of bribes to get the job done, but we managed, even with my arthritic hands.

Excellent...enabled me to overcome my fear of cutting nails
I have had dogs for 20 years, my wife pretty much tells everyone that any dog I own has hit the canine lottery. I truly love my dogs, the problem has been trying to be confident about not hurting them when I cut their nails. It goes something like owner nervous, dog nervous, makes cutting nails even more difficult and truthfully leads to maybe one nail being cut before chaos ensues, thenTrip to vet pay $10/dog for clipping.Something finally clicked in me where I feel confident and felt like longer nails where more harmful than me possibles getting the quick a time or two. There was one other major change a sympathetic groomer advised getting the guillotine style trimmer and more specifically this one.The scissor clipper may work for some, and I owned arguably the best pair of those available, but requires an inexperienced trimmer to be more stressed. The dogs paw often moves forward and back slightly. The scissor type requires far more experience. The guillotine stile on the other hand is passed over the nail, the interior of the clipper prevents a nail from going to deep, but it cuts out the needing to track the dog. One added thing is the squeeze of the handles is inline with all this movement. That may overt complicate the process, but I can tell you in practice this style made it possible for me to over come my phobia. Moreover after several weeks of tipping the nails, the dogs like it. And no more click, click, click when they travel across hardwoods or concrete. At the end it provides one more opportunity for the dogs to receive love and praise, one less trip to the vet, and oh yeah money in the pocket. When I start clipping my other dog instantly wants their nails clipped. So I have to do it when someone can distract the other dog or first thing in the morning when they are in their kennels.Good luck, and I promise if I can cut my dogs nails - anyone can. Btw, if you are really having trouble for getting a feel for it, the groomer told me to practice on chopsticks.

Lets me trim my dog's nails with ease
My pup has very black nails that make it hard to see the quick, and also wiggles quite a lot - not a good combination for nail-trimming! But the 'guillotine' style trimmers let me position his nail just right, without fear of accidentally cutting him while getting him into position. Then the cutting action is so quick he doesn't even notice anything! Great for an at-home trim by a non-expert.

Best ever.
My dog has always been an anxious mess when it comes to nail clipping. She's had a few issues with her nails separating from the quick which made the anxiety worse. These are the best clippers I've found. They're sharp and the guillotine motion seems to put less stress on the nail itself. I'm able to clip her nails in half the time which is beneficial for everyone. I also like that you can buy replacement blades. Highly recommend.

Life Changing
For years we have taken our dog to the vet to get her nails cut, paid $20 and that was it. Since the pandemic started i decided to try it on my own. I orginally bought lippers that looked like scissors, theyre around $8 and all over amazon. They didnt work and i really had to apply so much pressure i though i would break her nail and hurt her. I then bought a nail grinder and i sat ther for 10 minutes for one nail. After looking through so many reviews I came across these. Yes they are a bit more thran others but THEY ARE SO WORTH IT. I clipped my dogs nail like BUTTER. i am so shocked. So easy to use, my dog didnt eve notice. 100% every penny because now I wont be paying $20 for a nail trim. if you are like me and you dont feel comfortable with those other scissor like nail cutters, get these, you cant go wrong you can always return them if you dont like them.

Best Trimmers for my Large Dobermans
Wish I would have known about these when I first started raising my furry children. I have two large dobermans that weigh around 95 and 110 each. They are not obese, just large dobermans with toenails that look like bear claws. These are way more comfortable for my dogs when trimming their nails. I used to use the scissor type trimmers on my doberman's nails and it always seemed like it was crushing the nails before it would actually trim them off. My dogs would run and hide every time they saw me with the other nail trimmers and I would have to sit on them to hold them down to trim their nails, I'm around the same weight as my babies. It would usually take me about 1/2 hour or more per dog because they hated it so much. Even while sitting on them to hold them down, they would still get up and try to get away. As soon as I got these, I trimmed their nails in about 10 minutes!!! What a relief for all of us. The trimmers are extremely sharp and cut through the nails so quick that my dogs don't realize I'm trimming their nails. They were a little apprehensive when they saw the trimmers, but I think they were pleasantly surprised when I started using them. I did't even have to sit on them :) Even when I accidentally cut the quick, the blades are so sharp my dobermans didn't yelp. The medistyp pet styptic powder with benzocaine works very well for stopping the bleeding and pain. I would definitely recommend these to others that are thinking of what type of trimmers to purchase.

Best and original guillotine claw clipper for small to medium sized dogs. My second purchase after 40 years, as I was after a coloured version.
