In this Lola Reads picture book, Lola learns how to plant a flower garden in this simple and sweet story about gardening and patience. After Lola reads a book of garden poems, she wants to plant some flowers. She gets books from the library and chooses her plants. Then Lola and her mommy buy the seeds, make the garden, and mark the rows. Lola finds it hard to wait, but at last the flowers bloom. Now it's time for a party with her friends! The Lola Reads series celebrates family time and togetherness through reading, special activities, and new adventures. Review: My Daughter’s Favorite Books Right Now - The Lola book collection is simply delightful! We have almost all of them at home, and I can honestly say they’ve made a big difference in my daughter’s daily life. The themes are very relevant and perfectly match the stages she’s going through right now, such as starting school for the first time, welcoming a new sibling, and developing a love for reading and trying new activities. Beyond being educational, the books are engaging and help children better understand their feelings and life changes in a light and fun way. My 3-year-old daughter absolutely loves interacting with these books—it has become a very special moment for us. I highly recommend them to other families! I will definitely be buying the remaining books to complete the collection. Review: Story around a garden, not gardening process - This book is absolutely precious! The illustrations are beautiful. The downside is that I was hoping for a book about the process of gardening - digging, planting, watering, etc. This book is about a child wanting to grow a garden, decorating it to make it special, and enjoying it with her friends. The process is literally just “Lola and Mommy make the garden,” and then the sprouts come up. It’s still sweet and wonderful but not precisely what I was looking for. My 2.5yo son loves it though!

True to Life Series
I bought my now 2 year old boys Leo Can Swim when we were starting swim class last summer and it was very accurate to what they would be experiencing. When we decided to start a garden this spring I wanted to get another book they could relate to. I was so happy when this book appeared in my search. I love that it shows how Lola and her mom interact and work together on the projects and the steps it takes to grow a garden. The boys loved Leo and now they love Lola.

Such a sweet little book!
I'm obsessed! I will be buying more from the collection. The illustrations are so cute. Simple and short, but longer than I expected - perfect for my toddler who just turned 2. I purchased the hardcover because paperbacks will never survive my child LOL. Why do the Spanish versions of the hardcovers have to cost so much more? 😭

Love Lola!
We love all things Lola. As always, adorable story, great lesson, beautiful artwork. My daughter (now 2) makes us read all of her Lola books several times a day every day. Save yourself some time and buy the hardcovers - we initially bought softcovers but had to invest in hardcovers later because the softcover books were so loved.

Sweet Story, Beautifully Illustrated
Highly recommend this book as a spring/summer read if you work with or have preschoolers. Beautifully illustrated. Pictures facilitate family bonding, friendship and working together to create a beautiful outdoors. Holds a young child’s attention by not having too many words. Nice flow.

A lovely book about a girl who is inspired to plant a garden from her love of reading poems.
Absolutely love this book! We were struggling to find a diverse range of books to support our topic on 'Growing' in the early years. This proved to be a wonderful addition. I especially love how Lola is inspired to plant a garden from her love of poems. It is a very sweet book with beautiful illustrations. Would highly recommend.
