Top Spiral Notebook, 4"x 6"

I bought the (Rite in the Rain - Green Tactical Note Book (All Weather) for my line of work with the sheriffs department. And when your note taking can be the difference between your job and keeping someone bad off the streets, it's important to ensure that your notes are going not only to last, but handle all situations (like weather). I recieved my notebook about 5 days ago, and decided to give it a try, First I noticed it looked and almost felt like ordinary paper, but with a more thick quality with it. I began to write simple phrases on the first page with a variety of writing utensils, I tried an ordinary pen, a pencil, a 0.5mm pen and pencil, ballpoint pens, and so on. Then I tore out the first page which was as easy if not easier than an ordinary notebook. I took it over to the sink area and began to run water on the paper, for about 2 minutes the water beaded off the paper with ease, i turned the water off and examined the paper, it was only wet on the surface, i wiped the excess water off and perfect, it felt like the original paper with no signs of any water damage. This is a great product for someone who may work in an outdoor environment or just near water I highly Recommend this product to anyone in the market for a notebook that not only has quality but is resistant to everyday situations, thanks (Rite in the Rain) for making a great product. This Rite In The Rain notebook is the leading brand for a reason. It works exactly as advertised, performing flawlessly in conditions where a normal notebook would be ruined. I’ve used alternative brands in the past and ran into issues with the paper or ink smudging, but I’ve had no such problems with this notebook. The weatherproof paper and sturdy cover ensure that your notes stay safe and legible, no matter the conditions.

I have used these notepads daily since the day of its arrival. I started journaling on a notebook that was gifted to me a year prior, I found random and spontaneous use of it with little to any issue. I was later gifted another product from a friend and I was sold. After purchasing these, I find uses in my every day life without fear that the tears of my struggles will wash away the worldly wisdom that graces every lingering word scribed on its green-hued pages. If you need a notepad, get these and think about investing in their pens too. They do not write well but it feels nice holding a metal pen specifically made for the paper you are writing upon, of which, both are made to resist water which can be useful in many settings.

When I was considering purchasing this item, there was one piece of information I was not able to find: where are these things made? If buying something made in China is the only choice, I will suck it up and grudgingly do it. If I can buy something from Taiwan or India instead of China, I will gladly do that since those are countries arguably more friendly to America. If possible, I would buy something from Australia, The United Kingdom, New Zealand, or Ireland etc. instead since they are truly allies. Even better, I have family from Canada and I don't mind buying from them since they are practically part of the USA anyway. Heck, even Japan has been pretty cool with the United States since about 1946, and I will admit to owning a Mazda. However, I am happy to report that the Rite in the Rain notebook I received was clearly marked "Made in USA." If I was the owner of the company, "Made in USA" would be in big letters and in the first sentence of my product descriptions. I am very surprised they did not mention it. I do not know if all of their notebooks are made in the USA and I don't even know if the one you might buy will be made in the USA, but they are at least using some domestic manufacturing. And yes, the notebook looks nice and I am sure it will work fine. The paper feels a little bit more like plastic than normal paper and the ink may smudge a little more easily. If you want paper that can supposedly work in pouring rain, you're going to have to sacrifice a little I'm sure.

My preferred size is the 4x6 in tan colour. Paper & cover quality is superb as always. College ruling is precise as are the less prominent vertical lines. I use these for my personal journals. The 4x6 size is convenient & can be taken nearly anywhere. The two discrepancies began two orders ago. I ordered the 4x6 tan colour as usual, but I received pads with dark brown covers. Also, the product photos show top spiral binding through round perforations which firmly held pages in alignment. The last two orders came with binding through square perforations which allow pages to easily flop out of alignment. I must exercise greater care when using the notebook & when inserting the closed notebook in its protective carrier since misaligned pages create a greater possibility for page damage. The company apparently felt the need to fix something that wasn't broken? Return to your previous round holes. If not, then it would augment your professional impression to revise your product pictures to the new perforation shapes. The square shape does appear quite nice but it results in sloppy performance. I'm surprised company administrators allowed such a quality reduction!

Purchased for outdoor work purposes and they're absolutely worth the purchase. Very durable and waterproof. I actually repurchased for extras. The color is great as well as the size, overall satisfied.

I've been using these for the better part of two years, I was working in a machinist position where I was constantly swimming in coolant and these note book pads kept my notes exactly where I wanted them on the paper safe and sound. I now work in the industrial maintenance field which is also quite filthy and am now swimming in grease and other yummy fluids and I constantly need to write something down and still these pads hold up to the promise. The pads are perfect size for your back pocket or other small pockets. The front and rear of the pad are a durable plastic or sorts to keep the paper protected and it all around seems to hold up just fine! Don't question just buy you'll be happy you did.

I started using Rite in the Rain products in 2011 while serving with the United States Marine Corps. Fast forward to over a decade and I’m still using their products while working as a first responder. I love that they have multiple sized notepads and I have found this one is perfect to fit in my back pocket. The notepad is large enough to hold on to easily and has enough space for lengthy notes. The tough and thick material of the plastic outer portion, along with the thick pages, handle well while in pocket. The notepads withstands being sat on, manipulated whether in my hand or just the constant movement, and even during the summers when I’m sweating. As mentioned in the details of the notepad, it’s made to be used in the rain. I can say I’ve sweat on the pages and I’ve used while in the rain and have NEVER had an issue with smearing or the pages falling apart like normal paper. I don’t use a rite in the rain pen, any normal pen has been fine for me.
