This case does work well with a thin case for my iPhone 8. The phone fits snugly an securely into the case. The case itself is very sturdy and provides a strong grip onto my belt. Seems to be well built but only time will tell how long it actually stands up to daily use but so far I'm very satisfied.

I received my clip case 5 days ago, and it is extremely snug if you have even a small case on the phone. I can get it into the case, but it comes out with some difficulty, making it impossible to answer quickly. I have spent several days stretching the case out, inserting items a little larger than the phone and case, and it is better, but still difficult to use. I give it three stars because it is attractive, seems to work as intended, and would be fine for an iPhone 8 without any case. But even the small case I have makes it impractically snug, for now.

I had one of these for my iPhone for a couple of years. The plastic swivel attached to the clip wore out and I tried several other brands. I have now returned to this case. My other cases died within a year or were a real hassle to use. I did not have a cover on my iPhone when I used this holster the first time. I have a thin cover now and it still fits the holster. A bit tight but fits. I recommend this holster. I rated the durability at only 4 stars as the plastic swivel will wear if you tend to swivel your phone for easy access. Other than that, it's a 5 Star.

I have used these with an iPhone 7 and with an iPhone 8, each of them in the silicone case from Apple. The phones fit snugly but are easy to put into and take out of the holster. I like the magnetic closure because I can access my phone during meetings without subjecting the whole room to the sound of Velcro. I put the phones in top down because I grip them by the edges to remove them and if they are right side up I wind up grabbing the buttons on the sides of the phone near the top. I like the belt clip because it has a spring clamp on a hinge rather than a spring steel clip. The plastic parts that rotate are notorious for failing after a year or two, but at this price, the holsters have served me well if they last that long. There is an odor that resembles a tire store when one first opens the package, but after a couple of days of use I can no longer smell it.

I have the Speck Presidio Cell Phone Case on my iPhone 7. The holster was a bit snug with the phone in the case when I first got it, but it quickly loosened up to an ideal tightness (easy enough to remove, but not so loose that it will accidentally fall out). I also have no problem with the magnetic closure fully closing (as others mentioned in their reviews) with the Speck case - loop and magnet work as designed, from the first day. This holster is well designed and well made - appears quite durable, including the plastic belt clip. 360 swivel allows you to position it on your right or left side and to swivel the holster to the most comfortable position for you (vertical, horizontal or anywhere in between). The holster also stays in whatever position you put it in. I've had no problems positioning it for comfort, including riding in the car with a seat belt on, in either the driver or passenger seat. Highly recommended if you have a slim case like the Speck Presidio.

This is a nice looking phone case and looked like it was well made but after wearing it for about a month the clip fell off and cannot be reattached. Very disappointed. I've been wearing this type of belt clip case for many years with different phones and this has never happened to me before.

A good looking phone holder and a perfect snug fit for my iPhone 7 with a slim case. The only issue I have with the case is that the belt clip usually fall apart after 6-9 months. Since I like the case and can't find a better one, I just order a new one when the one I'm using breaks.
