CantuShea Butter for Natural Hair Dry Deny Moisture Seal Gel Oil, 5 Ounce

Gel oil is good in keeping my hair moisturized for several days. I suffer with dry hair and I apply the gel oil sparingly after using my leave-in; this helps to lock in moisture and give my hair some sheen.

I'm still figuring this one out. I have low density and low-med porosity, 2b-2c hair. This gel has a very light hold, makes my hair so super soft, and defines my waves without frizz. It seems like I can never use too much. It never gets heavy or greasy or weighs down my hair. I cannot use it alone if I want any lasting definition. I've ended up using it as a conditioning layer and apply it before my defining gel or mousse of whatever I end up using to style. I will continue to use it since it cuts out so much frizz and helps form curl clumps.

This product causes my scalp to be irritated, but it definitely moisturizes my hair very well. Must be the PEGs in the ingredients. And of course, my hair LOVES this product. It can cause build up on you hair, so a little goes a long way. This tube should be much larger like the other Cantu products because I keep running out. Gel gold! Four stars for now, though. But, I’ll add a star when they take the PEGs and the Ethyl’s out.Update: A little of this product does go a very long way. For dry hair, use with the Cantu Coconut Curling Creme. Avoid putting these products on your scalp, especially if you have fine or thin hair or an irritated scalp.

I can’t believe how good this product is. Directions are to put on damp hair. I have never used a product that left my hair looking moisturized this well. I put it one after I’ve applied Cantu Conditioning Leave In Conditioner and Aragan oil, and it makes my curls pop and shows defined curls. I have a few hair types on my head; to include 3c, 4b, and 4c.If I sleep in my satin cap I just stand under the shower head with lukewarm to cool water, drench my whole head, shake the curls back into place using my hands to lift at the root a little as I shake (with my head upside-down. Love love love this product. Get you some.

I couldn't tell you what this is supposed to do. I thought it would be a good hair gel + moisturizer.... um. Idk what it does. It doesn't really gel anything and as far as the moister goes it honestly dries my hair. I had to put other products with it to make sure it didn't dry my hair out. But it does style my hair well. I flat twisted my hair and the next morning it came out really nice. No loose fly away's or frizz. So I guess 3 stars are worthy of it.

Perfect for my nature hair when I just want twists and not blow dry. Keeps my hair nice and soft. Will buy again.
