Not finished
The sides of the boards were never sanded down, so there's a rough looking edge all around and makes the sides look darker in color. Also, a few of the pre drilled holes for the screws don't line up, so it almost ended up splitting the end of the boards.Luckily I was able to angle it enough to where they didn't split.Overall, definitely not worth $35.

The product help me organize my home and work computer equipment. I love that it is versatile and can move wider if needed. I would buy again if I ever need a second one!

Looks Nice, But With Limited Applications
Let me start by saying that I bought this shelf because I really needed a better way to organize some of my school supplies while also making my workspace feel more homey. And I really wanted to LOVE it, but at most I just like it. Yes, it looks absolutely as I expected it to based on the pictures and description. And the size is just right. But that's where my love for it ends. The assembly instructions were not the most helpful, but honestly with a little common sense you can figure it out. It took me about 15 minutes to put together myself. Here's where the issue came in: I really wanted to use it like the picture shows, where I had textbooks stacked standing to one side of my knick-knack shelf. The problem is that the upper and lower part of the shelf do not attach to one another and instead just sit stacked together. Therefore when I stood the books up the weight of them wanted to lean inward towards to light shelf and pushed everything right off of it. Perhaps this wouldn't be an issue if the one side of your organizer was against a wall, but mine was not. And since the two pieces do not attach, there have been times where I have gone to pull something off an upper shelf and it slides the whole shelf halfway off of the bottom shelf. The wood has a very smooth finish, which looks lovely but doesn't help in the least bit with the sliding issue. So here's my final take on the " desktop organizer": If you're using is for small and/or lightweight items, or even books that you plan to store laying horizontally, then this will function well. If you wanted to organize things similar to the picture shows, it may be better to look for something more practical. If the manufacture would decide to include some type of clip to hold the shelves in place once you have it arranged the way you like, this could easily be a 5-star product.

5-stars straight out of the box
I needed a small shelf for my vanity desk and didn’t want to have to get one of those bulky white mirrored things. I wanted something that would match the desk I already have so I bought this.Upon opening the package I was super surprised because there was a screwdriver IN the box! Not another Allen wrench but a legitimate screwdriver. I would have spent probably a good 10 minutes looking for one if it wasn’t for MyGift’s pre-planning and I am so grateful that they had the foresight to think “we’re giving them screws, we should give them a screwdriver too”It was very easy to put together, matches my current desk, and is compact enough that I have plenty of room to fit my laptop on my desk too. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a small shelf.

All the right parts for assembly were not correct
The shelves after assembly are fine, as described. However, we received two of one board instead of one, and didn’t receive one of the others. We were able to drill holes and shorten a piece to get it to work. Luckily we had the tools to do that.

Does What A Shelf Should Do On For Cheap
After working from home for nearly two years now I realized that my work area had become a mess with a router, NAS, VOIP adapter, some home control equipment, and all their associated cables and power supplies all over my work surface. I recently picked up another one of these shelves for some more gear located elsewhere.I like these shelves because they are inexpensive and can be adjusted for the amount of items I need to store on them. Currently I do not need to expand the shelves horizontalIy but have the capability if later I need more room. I also like that they provide several levels which helps to maximize my desk surface.

A bigger project than I wanted
I'm torn between 2 and 3 stars. It is adjustable. It is definitely "desk sized" (e.g. smaller than what it looks in the picture, and you're slightly disappointed even though you read the measurements and felt like you knew what it was going to look like.)It is too adjustable; it keeps falling apart due to the weight of my books. Yes you can adjust it this way and that way, but how are you gonna lock it like that so the one piece doesn't slide off the other? And how are you going to secure the shelves to your desk so the shelves themselves don't slide on your desk due to the weight? Now, I didn't have to worry about this when I wasn't actively using the storage - when it was just used for "display purpose only" and wasn't touched, but when I started taking books on and off the shelf and thus moving the weight around, it became a big issue. Not because of the assembly instructions (standard IK*A picture only assembly instructions) - because I put it together in a few minutes. I bought these because it seemed like an easy, attractive storage solution for my desk, but you need to figure out how to make it secure. Now I gotta glue to the 2 pieces together and velcro the whole thing to my desk to prevent shocking my officemates from the tumbles and falls of my books off of it when I take one book out, and the whole thing hitting the floor. Also, I think it's more expensive than what it should be, though I understand it is real wood, with a nice finish.

These shelves do the job but they are nothing special
I'd probably really give a 3.5/5 if I could TBH.It's 7 pieces of wood. The clever aspect is that the holes for the screws are in exactly the right place. That's what you are paying for. They are not a complicated design and not IKEA quality or innovation. However they do exactly what I ask of them - they are flexible shelves for a desktop - and right now they serve that purpose - albeit for a fairly high price. There are obviously several suppliers of different wood versions of this shelf on Amazon right now - choose the colour you like at the price that is cheapest.

Simple but effective
I got this for my Mum as she has limited space and a lot of books. It's quite good actually and I'm sure it will help a lot to keep her small paperbacks together. Easy to assemble and it is was it is for the price. I'm actually very pleased with it and for under £30 should do the job great

Easy to assemble and adjustable
This comes in two easy-to-assemble parts so the final item is adjustable. Also includes a screwdriver though I used an electric one, and the free one for the final tightening. Instructions are diagrammatic but simple. Heartily recommended.

Nice shelf for unusual angled spaces
This is a very simple shelf that can be used in many orientations. I like the flexibility of it for handling odd angles without any fasteners.I cannot get the screws to tighten so it is really sturdy but I am sure a stronger person or using a power drill it could be done.
