Works great for the claw foot tubs
We had to get longer screws for it to wrok with the pipe to the spigot and shower but that wasn't a big deal. It is of a nice quality and very functional.

Good design, but pitted metal
I really like the shape and function, and it's hard to find a nice soapdish for a clawfoot tub, but the metal was rather pitted all over the visible upper side that actually holds the soap, and that detracts from the quality. (Rough and pitted with no shine in a number of places, not smooth and shiny all over.) It wasn't worth it to pay to send it back though.

This is a beautiful soap dish and is now working perfectly on the riser in our shower. The screws that come with the holder are too short to clamp to the riser we are using, so it required quite a search for longer replacement screws. First, the screws are metric (4mm) and second the threading needed to be cleaned out to accommodate the replacement screws, all of which our helpful ACE Hardware guy was able to do. It's a great buy, but be prepared to do some adjusting to fit your particular riser.
