Mostly use for very hot liquids. And is sturdy.

It's true that no plastic touches the contents of these bottles. The cap does have plastic threads, but the inner upper part of the cap is stainless with a silicone gasket preventing any contact with the threads. However, this kind of lid is a double layer construction. When I tried to soak a cap to remove food, I found that water filled up the space between the layers. Once the water was inside, it was very difficult to get back out. If it doesn't come out, you will have a bacterial breeding ground. Special care must be taken to rinse the caps of food that could dry on them to prevent the need to soak caps. Also, the caps cannot be dropped into a tub of wash water, they must be wiped, rinsed and allowed to face downward so water can't migrate to the interior of the caps.When the bottles arrived and were first unpackaged, I found that many of the silicone gaskets had adhered to the glass rims during storage. Getting the gaskets off the glass resulted in torn gaskets.I have not experienced that the bottoms are unusually thin. I hardly use ice cubes, so this hasn't been a danger for me.

The bottles are practical, and I think they are designed well. There is a removable silicone ring inside the cap. I have been using them for a while, primarily to store my filtered water in the fridge. I am only giving 4 stars, because I noticed, that the glass keeps odors. After I used one of them for storing mango juice, it continued to smell like mango for about three more weeks, despite daily use as water bottle & frequent washing. It seems strange to me, that the glass itself takes on scents like that. I want to be clear: It was not the cap that retained the scent. It was the glass. So, for that reason, I have refrained from ordering more of them. Otherwise, I really like these bottles. I exclusively use them for keeping filtered water only.

Sometimes the little rubber part on the inside of the cap comes off when I unscrew the top. I honestly don't use the cover much, so that's not a problem for me. I love the quality of the glass and the colors are nice. They are slippery, though! You have to have a good grip on it for it to not slip out of your hand. I used one for iced coffee not long ago and the smell/taste didn't stay. That's nice. I put it through the dishwasher, too.

After using and washing for a month the lids are very difficult to open. They just spin similar to a stripped screw. I would not buy these if you are looking for longevity.

Bottles are just the right size for our use and coloring allows us to keep track of which is which. Stainless caps with o-ring seal well.Unfortunately, the bottoms of the bottles seem to be too thin. A piece of ice was dropped into one of the bottles and broke a piece (about the diameter of a pea) out of the bottom. We'll need to be careful going forward.

I make three drinks for me, my wife, my mother and my step father everyday. So I bought 3 sets of these and everyone has a color. I love them!!! The wide mouth is great because they are easy to clean. The size is big enough for any drinks that I make. They are durable, I carry them to and from work with me each day with no problem. They look good and they do a good job and they were super affordable!

I LOVE these. I like to put fruit chunks in my water--my favorite is strawberries, lemon, and frozen blueberries--and the opening is wide enough that you can easily get the pieces in and out. I use one of these on my bedside because my cats can't keep their faces out of any open glass of water, and they look pretty and elegant. They are not too tall to fit in the cup holders in my car like some of my other water bottles. My friend loved these so much when she saw they that she had me order a set for her.
