Aprendo a leer y escribir, Book 1: Método fonético silábico (Aprendo a leer y escribir/ Learn to Read and Write in Spanish)

My daughter is 5 years old and bilingual. This series is excellent for a child learning to read and write Spanish (as a native or bilingual speaker). Highly recommend especially if you want the whole book in Spanish, no English translation.

It is a expensive photocopy book, no colourIt is definitely not a phonics book to learn how to read in Spanish

Will be ordering them all. Only wish there were more pages per book

I adore these books. We are on book 2 now. My family speaks mostly English and I'm the only one who speaks Spanish. These books have helped me teach my 3 year old son. These are books that parents definitely need to help and explain the instructions to the child. My son is on the second book now and he can already read 3 and 4 letter words. Excited to purchase the entire set and keep teaching my little.

Yo soy tutora y hace tiempo que buscaba libros para usar con mis alumnos de kinder y primero,a quienes les da trabajo aprender a leer. Estos libros son excelentes porque enseñan cada sílaba usando un montón de actividades que a los niños les encanta. Además de ayudarlos a aprender a leer,aprenden mucho vocabulario. Estos libros son una colección de siete libros en total y aconsejo usarlos en orden ,ya que empiezan con las vocales y terminan aprendiendo a leer palabras con diptongos. Loas niños tendrán la oportunidad de practicar todas las sílabas posibles en español de una manera entretenida.

I found this book to be extremely helpful in teaching my young Honduran student the basic vowels for reading and writing in his native language. However, I felt that there were a few too many extra pages related to practicing with each letter. Some assignments focused on writing, speaking or reading, while many others focused on coloring or circling. I found that the non-coloring activities were extremely beneficial, while coloring was too basic for this young learner!
