Is there room on the bottom shelf for tall shampoo bottles, etc?

There is not enough room to shelf a tall bottle of shampoo.

What is the distance between legs longside? My earlier question wad to see if it will fit my tub which has 18inch clearance width at the bottom.

I wouldn't put it in a tub, even though it won't fit in yours. Sitting in water cannot be a good thing - it is teakwood, sealed and coated, but still wood.

I have done nothing in the several months I have owned this bench....but ultimately I suspect it may need to be rubbed down with teak oil. Also, I do not put it in a direct water spray. Actually I love the quality and appearance of this teak bench.

I need to put in a tub which has 17.5 width clearance. Can someone confirm if this will fit?

Bench measures approximately 13.25" x 21". It will sit in the tub, HOWEVER, if the plan is to sit on the bench with the normal position of your bottom resting in the curved area of the bench, and you facing the shower or faucet, it WILL NOT FIT! It is a beautiful piece of furniture and I do not put it in the water. I use it in my bathroom for sitting when putting on shoes, socks, etc. For your purpose, I would suggest a simple plastic-constructed chair that can be purchased at a Walmart or CVS. I absolutely love this particular bench, and personally think it's MUCH TOO NICE to put inside a shower. Hope this helps!

Beautiful, fully assembled teak bench

This teak bench is beautifully crafted showing the lovely grain of the wood. I found it to be sturdy, but check to see if the rubber tips on the legs are tightened before using. It was packed with care and assembled in perfect condition upon arrival. I am not using it in the shower, but it suits my needs for a light teak bench outside the shower.
