Seriously Good Show. . 1st review.
I've watched series 1-3 twice and loved the show apart from the grating intro theme music, which I'm delighted to see has been removed from season 4.This is the 1st time I have ever written a review and have enjoyed shows such as Lost, Prisoner of War & Vikings. I'm 46 btw.My motivation to review comes from wanting to champion this well put together cast from all over the world, when there are real moments of tension during some episodes, (where my own heart was pounding), each separate story line is interwoven into the bigger picture and illustrate how global agencies potentially operate and best of all, the chemistry between the characters. The relationship between Annie and Eyal is super hot charged in seasons 1-3 & you find yourself wanting them to get together. I understand why the focus changed from Mossad to Columbia (a show has to remain fresh), but I found myself waiting for Eyal to make an appearance throughout each episode!!! I've a feeling there's more to that story next season! Annie & Auggie, well we all want that to work! You just want to pinch his cheeks & hug him :)Joan & Arthur although present, play lesser roles than previously and one can only assume that Kari Machett wanted to spend time with her real life baby. I hope we follow their rise back to power next season.Gripe - Teo. What was that about? He lasts for a 9 hour car journey, says something nice with his dad, then BOOM, he's dead. . . . I bet my salary that he isn't!! He'll be in deep deep deep cover that he couldn't tell his dad about as he's gone to take down the entire ALC or something equally mysterious. Mark my words - he will return.Gripe 2 - Now & again the cliched and unbelievability of certain things gets on my nerves. These are spys, who have their bags of tricks (50 passports & a few hundred thousand in different denominations) at all times. So - when we see Annie cleverly make a new passport and carefully seal the photo in with a towel under a warm iron in a dilapidated room(!), how come a few episodes later can she do the same thing in a car (cigarette lighter perhaps??). Also when Henry's ex wife involved, a motorbike helmet magically appears on the bike for her to wear, later when they part company, Annie gets on the bike - where's the same helmet gone to?? She has money to keep buying burner phones, yet Joan says she will stop at an atm to get Annie some cash, however we do get the impression that spys require a lot of money for any purpose at any given time, an atm wouldn't cut it!!Another thing is that running in heels? Nooo. Gripe from 1-3 . You'll see what I mean. Glad to see that Annie has reinvented herself into " bad ass" with flat biker boots, much more appropriate for gun toting, running around the city in!!I could go on but really don't want to be a spoiler so I'm going to end by saying take no notice of my gripes, because they are tiny in comparison to all else. Men want Annie Walker, women want to BE Annie Walker. . . Seriously. When I come back, I want to be a spy. It's light, it's gritty, it's funny & serious, it's heart breakingly good on human chemistry moments. You will be drawn in and want to watch it back to back. With clever thinking, this show has the potential for 8 seasons. A shout out too for our homebred ex eastenders and dubious role as the bionic woman star. . . She is fab in season 4 & has a great American accent. Watch Covert affair, you'll love it. Thank you for sticking with me.

Addictive
Addictive. It is one of those shows were you instantly become attached to the characterters and care about what happens. The plot can be predictable but in a good way I Watched seasons one and two on Netflix in one week and was disappointed that season 3 and 4 were unavailable. I ordered season 3 on DVD and again devoured it so was made up when I found out that I could stream season 4 instantly from amazon. I'm torn now as to whether to devour or tKe my time with the last season!

Better this series than any of the previous ones Pity it's the penultimate series
I started out by really hating this series that I bought for the teenagers in our family. But begged into downloading more and more series episodes on iTunes, I looked on Amazon and found (yet again - no surprise) that the box set cost a lot less to buy in a physical format. This series I have to say, was a lot more engaging than some of the earlier series, however I have been informed by my daughter that it is the penultimate series. Oh dear.

Good 4th season the only downside of watching the play all the English language keeps changing to french you have to keep using the audio button on the remote control to change back to English. just waiting for season 5 to come over to the UK on tv the finale season.
