String Algae gone - Pond is clear
This stuff really works miracles. We struggled with string algae for years in our 1600 gal goldfish pond. We had a good pump, filter with U/V etc. but nothing seemed to help. About 4 years ago we started with Nualgi and in a couple of weeks string algae just about disappeared and the pond was crystal clear. Since then we just squirt in a maintenance dose and thats it! I really can't say enough good things about Nualgi. FIsh are healthy, froggies always seem to find a place to hang out and no more nuisance algae. The UV light stopped working last year and we did not bother to replace it.

String algae’s worst nightmare!
My 1,600 gallon pond has been struggling with string algae for the past several years, and every season got a little worse until I was battling it throughout the winter in my 6A zone. Not even weekly doses of barley straw extract could control it. I pulled all the string algae I could reach before adding this product as directed. Within 4 days my string algae was completely gone, as was the heavy carpet of algae that coated my pond walls. Only a very light coat remains. I used this product for three weeks and will now use it in an as-needed basis. It’s that strong and that fast. Best pond product I’ve found in many years.

Seems to work
Read about Nualgi and the concept sounds good. Grow Diatom and have them eat up the nitrate and starve the algae. Shutdown my UV so it won't kill the diatom. I have a 2000 gallon pond with just 4 kois so it is not heavily stocked. I only feed them once a day.You only need to add 1ml per 1000 gallon so I bought the smallest bottle to try which is 60ml. This should last 30 weeks for me. Expected results can vary from a few days to up to 4 weeks so decided to try it for at lesst four weeks. I was careful not to over dose as it contains metal which can be harmful to kois if you add too much. Did notice my kois were much less active once I started adding nualgi. After 4 weeks, no improvements at all. I was really hoping this would work because Diatoms would lower the nitrates. UV filter would just kill the algae but the nitrate is still there so I liked Nuagli's approach better. I will wait another 1 to 2 weeks then go back to my UV filter.Hope other users have better luck. I was hoping to at least see some kind of improvement. Attached weekly pictures. No visual improvements.June 18, 2022 Up-dateChanged rating from 1 star to 4 stars. Christian at Nualgi suggested my problem may be because my pond has no diatoms. I added 3 gallons of water from one of my fishtanks and put as much diatoms as I can then waited a month. After 1 month, added 2ml of Nualgi and the pond cleared up in 3 days. Seems to be working. It was hard to believe my pond didn't have any diatoms. Regardless, glad the algae is gone and I can now see my kois. Nitrate levels seems to have gone down also. Didn't use my UV filter at all.

This works on odor
My pond is still very much under construction. Plants are in but the filters aren't running yet. I’m busily cutting beams and plumbing and stuff. Anyway, we’re already swimming in it. It developed an odor, as ponds do. This little bottle did the trick. We just got out and I didn’t feel the need to go shower off immediately. The odor is 100% gone. It was a bad odor too. It smelled of sulfur and rotting plant matter. Not any more. Totally fresh smell! Amazing! If you are looking for something for a smell in your pond, this is it.

It works
I have a 300 gallon container pond, I had a massive outbreak of hair algae. This stuff cleared it up really fast. It only takes a tiny amount, and you treat once a week for 4 weeks. Unless you have a gigantic pond, this little bottle will last forever.

So disappointed
This is the second time I order this product. First time was awesome so I ordered more. Second time - it was just like dirty water, not to mention it has NO impact on the pond. Now that the return window is closed, I am stuck with something that absolutely did not work the way the first product (identical) worked. Disappointed. If you buy this, make sure if the liquid inside looks like dirty water, return ASAP

Very exaggerated claim.
I have a 15000 gal. pond full of algae so I used 15 ml as suggested with 5 gallons water into a bucket and spread around the pond. After 2 days, no visible effect. I'll wait another day then I'll double the suggestion. I'll see what happens after that then I'll update this review. It's now 08/27 and after using the remaining bottle in the last 9 days, there is still no visible clearness in pond. Sadly, my review still remains the same - over exaggerated claim.

It works! Clarity improvements in one to two weeks. From Green to Clear...happy fish and owners!
Easy to use, and was shocked by how low dosage required was...and shocked by initial price....but pound for pound of other algaecides....well worth the test and results. At least give it a try! You will be surprised...honest!

Meh
It really didn't work as well as the advertising claimed. I was so hopeful and I also get my pond professionally serviced twice a year. All I was expecting was a little additional help over and above the weekly additives and regular skimmer cleanouts done as required. I think I will just stick to what I had been using as this product only seemed to be money down the drain.

Worked but slowly
I worked on my pond design and added ozone. It cleared water way better than this. If you have green water and poor filtration may help. Otherwise work on your biological filter etc.Not sure that I would buy again or recommend. Quite expensive too

Clear and clean pond
I’ve been using the Nualgi Pond products for the past two years with fantastic results. I highly recommended Nualgi.
